A family get-together, midweek, too early to be busy it seems. Not good: Servers (could have been visitors) gabbing in little huddles. Perfunctory hand-off to table.Good stuff: Server was attentive, unbothered by kids. Seemed the only one busy The food, we're talking for fish tacos to chile relleno to chicken tacos, all were hands-down fresh, cooked perfectly and not at all deluged with seasonings. Said friend: This is the only area Mexican restaurant where I can eat and sleep on the same night. Tasty, fresh. I'm told it's a former service station. It's very lunch room ambiance, and the staff could use injections of warmth and greeting. But I'll go back for the food and space to chat. And there is a sidebar with TVs.

We came in this morning for a bite before a movie. Surprised to see a brunch menu with the regular menu. We live in EDH and dint know. Needs to be advertised a bit, maybe.Good food ensued, however. Breakfast fajitas were really good especially after I sent it back to get my eggs cooked as requested. The other half had the breakfast burrito. Ate it all. It was good.

Tantalize your taste buds at Koto inside Red Hawk Casino. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and house favorites that are sure to please. Koto is the place to be.
The restaurant has a nice open feeling thanks to the big windows on one side. Our waiter was top notch and very attentive. The prices across the menu are pretty reasonable, about what you'd pay at an Applebee's or similar place. There were four of us, each ordering a different entrée, which we sort of shared with each other. What I found was that some was excellent and some was a little dry. The ribs were OK, tasty but a little tough. The salmon was a little dry for me. The burger was excellent. And, the appetizers (potato skins and fried calamari) were both very good. I cannot remember the fourth entrée, but it was also very good. So, to get my drift, the food is a little hit and miss. But, nothing was bad. I would go back here.
I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I though I would try it for brunch but opted for a Mexican dinner. I had a beef fajita meal. My wife had their taco salad. I am a light weight when it comes to spicy food. Thankfully the meal was flavorful but not too spicy. The salsa was more on the medium heat side and they didn't offer anything less spicy. My fajita was a good portion but the taco salad was much smaller than we are accustomed to. They service was very good and super nice.

Lovely décor & a very efficient, welcoming staff. We've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed our meal and service. Also, loved the fresh salsa & chips.

Come here often with friends. The deco needs updating and "Brightening". Food is pretty good. The Negra Modelo on draft is wonderful on a hot day. Music on Sat nights is good also.

Family owned and operated Mexican Restaurant in Shingle Springs, CA
The shopping center has been failing over the years, but not this place which mixes Mexican and Salvadoran food (which I've still not tried). Weekend nights are busy. The friendly staff bends over backward for families and the inevitably cranky kids. This is a place to eat and chat, not look for ambiance. It has a very "Cheers" atmosphere so, go forth and explore. I know I will in subsequent visits. I've yet to be disappointed with their Mexican food.

My wife and I stopped by at 11am on a Sunday. I ordered carne asada burrito and my wife got rolled tacos. We really enjoyed the salsa and warm refried beans with our chips. Our meal was above average and I would stop again.
