Although we passed by regularly, we never tried Fat Fish Taco because of the TripAdvisor reviews reporting awful service (an hour with no food) and because a friend said it was overpriced. Finally though my husband and I decided to check it out thinking that we could go to another place of the many on Bloomfield Avenue if our food never came. Whatever the issues were in the past, they have been remedied, at least they were for us. And the prices were very fair- yes, the tacos cost more than at Taco Bell or the frozen tacos I have bought for my son at Costco but in my opinion, Taco Bell doesn't serve food and the frozen tacos are emergency rations. For our meal at Fat Fish we started with the nachos with shrimp which were the best nachos we have ever had. Unlike packaged chips, what appeared to house made chips from flour tortillas were used and they were virtually greaseless. There was a nice use of beans, tomatoes, jalapeños, cheese and some spicy grilled shrimp with guacamole so that the dish was flavorful and one ate goodies in every bite but the chips didn't get soggy. Then, we had tacos. The server said most people order two. My husband had the blackened fish and the mahi. I had the pork and the tempura buffalo shrimp. The pork was melt in your mouth tender with great flavor and a sprinkling of cheese. The shrimp was spicy but more than just heat, there was real flavor and texture from the fresh (and greaseless) shrimp and fresh cilantro and the thin curls of fresh cabbage and a creamy sauce. Our server was attentive, refilling water and bringing us glasses and an ice bucket for the white wine we had brought. (It is BYOB). Dessert- key lime pie or cheesecake- was offered but we were stuffed and passed. The food, service, ambiance and timing of the meal were all great. I am glad we gave it a chance and will definitely return (and hope we can snag a seat).

We been waiting for our waitress for a long time to place an order,I asked her a few times for more salsa but she kept forgetting. I ordered frozen margarita with herradura,I been ordering for many years but she was arguing with me that it is not going to be good,it is better on the rock.Let me tell you,I am the customer,I order what I like.Than we ordered 2 burgers to go because it was our anniversary and we left 2 kids at home and promised to bring them they favorite Mexican burgers from there. We been told that u can order 4 entries for 2 people and you can't order food out.Last visit there. It was our favorite Mexican restaurant. Will find another. I never heard that restaurant can tell me how much I can order, what to eat or drink.
If you've never been to a Chipotle before, you can expect burritos, tacos and bowls. The cilantro like rice is great but I been getting the brown lately because it is healthier. I'll also go the veggie route. Unfortunately, they do not have any veggies to put on it except for peppers and onions. That is why I prefer Moe's b/c they have many more optional ingredients. Here your getting a burrito as big as your head but it is mostly rice. The new sofritas(tofu) is not very good but they make the best guacamole. I frequently stop by just for a side of it. This location is small and is usually packed with young teens/pre-teens.
