Until I had the opportunity to explore more of the Mexican restaurants in my area, this was a go-to restaurant for me. This restaurant is closed on Mondays and is BYOB. It is small with limited seating, especially for large groups. With the small space, tile floor and televisions, it can be quite loud when there is a full house. I enjoyed the dishes on the menu such as their burrito and enchilada, the bistec dishes and also a special they had one day of posole. The green and red sauces are flavorful too. I visit these Mexican restaurants with friends who are Mexican so they give me great insight into what is 'authentic'. When another Mexican friend was visiting, they conversed with the woman working there (one of the owners?) about intensifying the spices for their palates. She explained that the dishes are tamed down for the general American palate but that she would ask the chef to do so. I don't know what was said to the chef, or if she was having one over on us, but the spice added to my dish was so intensely spicy, I could not taste anything for hours. It was overwhelming and slightly painful. My Mexican friends also deemed it too spicy and basically inedible.I realize we asked for them to make a difference, but when we explained it was too much, the woman simply laughed. Needless to say, I have not returned and have no intention of doing so. There are MUCH better Mexican restaurants - more authentic AND cheaper with larger portions -- in an area only two towns away.

We eat at the Chiliâs in Riverdale from time to time and the service is usually pretty good. Canât say that about our most recent visit. Only one other time was it this bad here, but that was years ago. The visit started off ok as our server took our order and the food and drinks were brought out by other people in a reasonable time frame. Then the problems started. We saw that we had no napkins, so we asked Stacy the server for some. What an attitude and sourpuss we got from her. She was basically doing nothing but having personal conversations with some coworkers when we asked. God forbid she had to actually do something for a customer. When she finally got our napkins, she basically threw them at us and ran off. Very rude. Another issue was when we asked another server for drink refills. They never came. Another 30 minutes go by and we wanted to pay with cash, but nobody ever comes close enough to our table to flag down. Too many workers here talking to each other and ignoring customers. Left our money on the table and finally left fed up. Wonât be going back for awhile. Hopefully they weed out a lot of the poor workers. We're really sorry for everything you experienced on this visit. The service should have been fast and attentive, and rudeness is completely unacceptable. Thatâs not the experience we want for our Guests. We'd really like to make this up to you. Can our Guest Engagement team connect with you? Please call us at 1-800-983-4637. Thanks!

Went on a late Saturday afternoon and found plenty of seating. Host was very friendly. Found establishment to be noticeably clean. Ordered Guacamole for appetizer and it to be excellent. We ordered a chicken burrito and a chicken chimichanga and both were also excellent. It is a BYOB establishment, and there is a second floor seating area. There is off street parking as well as street parking. Will return.

Since it was always crowded when I passed by at dinnertime, I opted to stop in for lunch. The meal began with good, spicy salsa but stale chips. The server brought out a complimentary tasty cheese Quesadilla after we ordered. I swear that our orders arrived in less than 3 minutes! My Chicken Enchiladas were good with a strong flavor in the sauce. My associate enjoyed his Chicken Tacos. I disliked their firm, dry rice, but the refried beans were decent. The complimentary Banana Chimichanga was excellent for dessert, as was the Flan. They offer Mexican sodas, but do not give free fountain soft drink refills. You can dine inside or out, but it's a small place and parking appeared limited. They offer a full bar. Exceeded expectations.
