We were so glad to have tried this restaurant. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. I love refried beans (guilty pleasure) and these were the best I've ever had. I ordered enchiladas and they were very tasty. My one daughter ordered a burrito and said it was phenomenal. My other daughter ordered a simple chicken sandwich and even she said it was awesome. When a restaurant can take a simple chicken sandwich and make it awesome you know you're dealing with a great place. We are looking forward to dining here again when in the area.

Possibly the best authentic Mexican food in the State. The food tastes like what you would get at a finer Mexican restaurant in Mexico. The decor is not much to speak of and the Margaritas too sweet but the food makes up for those shortcomings. Go for the food!

Went here based on the good TripAdvisor reviews. The inside of the restaurant looks as if it was nice at one point, but now it's really run down and shabby. My daughter's seat at the booth was falling apart and you could see the inside of it with all of the staples. The place could use a deep cleaning and paint refresh as well as replacement of some of the booths/furniture.Food was bland. My daughter had carne asada and it was very tough-- difficult to cut and to chew. My other daughter had chicken enchiladas which she said were dry. I had chicken fajitas which were fine but not much flavor. We had leftovers and none of us wanted a take home container, which says a lot.Service was polite but a bit slow. I personally wouldn't recommend and we will be trying a different restaurant the next time we're in town.

I wouldn't ordinarily bother to comment on sub-par fast food at a randomly selected franchise but the tacos we rercently got at this Taco John contained little more than lettuce, and not a lot of lettuce at that. Hadn't we gotten them via the drive-through, I would've brought them back to the counter to ask for at least a tablespoon of beef and at least enough shredded cheese to taste. Several years ago I went to a Taco John's in Eden Prairie anytime we were out that way because it was consistently very good, way above the fast food average. I know that franchise quality varies by location and management, but this Taco John's in Buffalo doesn't merely lower the bar a bit, it throws the bar away. The quick service was a mixed blessing.
