I would like to start by saying the place looks clean and nice but please haul off you old grease covered appliances you replaced that were sitting in parking lot on the South side of building. Gross! Our server brought out chips and salsa and ranch dip that is excellent. Our service started out good and then like she forgot on us? We had to get up from table several times and find the waitress for napkins there was only three place settings or wrapped up silverware with napkins. The waitress then poured water in our salsa and ranch dip and she was really having problems this night, she did replace the salsa and ranch dip?? I had chicken fajitas and they came out not sizzling the chicken looked like it was breast that had been cut and just laid on top of some almost cooked green pepper and onion and was basically flavorless. I ask for hot sauce which we had to get up and find waitress for, she brought to table and had a new bottle with plastic wrap and couldn't get it opened so I offered to open it for her. My daughter had the chicken breast covered with cheese sauce and was very happy with her meal. My niece had the enchiladas and said they were good. Positive: Not Terrible/Just service problems Negatives: SERVICE and Food Quality or Authenticity??

While visiting friend over Cinco de Mayo they recommended going to dinner at Los Portales Mexican Restaurant. Iâm so glad they did. The restaurant was very clean. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately. The menu was adequate and offered a little of everything. I ordered the chicken fajita bowl and it was fantastic. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner if youâre in the area. You will not be disappointed.

The food was just okay. The restaurant needs a good scrubbing and maybe updating. The kids working were bored and inattentive. They were out of several things at the station where you pick up napkins, hot sauce, straws, etc. I may give them another try, but not for a long time.

On our way back to St Louis after a week of travel and picked here. The food was very good, staff pleasant and good margaritas. Glad we stopped in.
