Good place for basic Mexican food. They have tacos, hauraches, sopes, etc. Plus breakfast. I stopped in for tacos. Nice clean place, good prices. Good place for a casual meal.
We were in an unfamiliar area but were starving after having come to Covina to see a movie. We checked, and there was a 4+ star restaurant right up the street. Both my husband and I have never had Nicaraguan food, and wow, were we missing out. The restaurant was packed on a Sunday, and midway through lunch, we noted that we were the only Caucasian people in the restaurant. Our server was great, recognizing we were newbies, and explained exactly how to go about eating all the things on our plate. The chopped onion side added an additional great taste to the food as well. My husband had the #1 with chicken, and me being leery of dirty restaurants + seeing the "B" health grade, went with the #2 combo with no meat. Food was terrific, and I would totally break my no "B" rule and go again
I don't like being negative if I can't help it but when trying this place I had some concerns. A chicken tortilla I purchased along with a medium soda for more than $8? And the menu, above the ordering area, had stuff from basically $4 and up. I am aware of this being a chain but I was put off on the prices for items and getting a smallish dish in return. I'm not a fan.If there is one saving grace, there's free Wi-Fi. But it's fairly weak, too. Wherever they placed their transmitter it only gives about 3 bars according to my phone. Places like Starbucks, McD's, even Jack-In-The-Box have extraordinarily strong signals.Even if there are deals here, I would recommend you go to Taco King down the street for better Mexican food.

Iâve been going to Fondaâs since they opened. My grandparents love this place. My girlfriends parents love this place. I love this place! The first thing I tried here was their Birria with some corn tortillas. Nice juicy tender meat that falls apart without difficulty. I occasionally stop by for their brunch but for the past 2 years Iâve been getting the carne asada molcajete with a side of rice and beans and corn tortillas. The molcajete comes with nopales (cactus), queso (cheese), jalapeños (you know.. that spicy chili), avocado, and carne asada (flank steak) all inside of a tomato based sauce. It comes with enough food for 2 people and it costs about $20 so itâs perfect for a small couples trip. If youâre ever in the San Gabriel valley or feel like tasting some good Mexican food then you need to make a trip to Fondaâs!
Small place but big food. pepe is a great guy as well.. menudo on the weekends is the best around. food is authentic and you can tell is fresh. Carnitas are great and juicy. Best tasting mexican food in azusa!
Guadalupe's is a nice and friendly neighborhood restaurant. They have really good food and good prices. On Tuesday the hard shell taco's are $1.00 each. They are so delicious and the servers are very friendly. This establishment is appropriate for all ages and they have been in business for years.

I couldn't wait to take my husband here after a friend showed me this restaurant. Every time I have come the food was excellent. The chicharrones are delicious the appetizer is enough for a full dinner and the menudo is perfect. Definitely coming back and my husband loved it as well

La Tolteca has been in our neighborhood for over 50 years. The food is always amazing with excellent enchiladas, taquitos, flautas, tamales, etc. Very traditional fare with unique homemade sauces.
