Loud and brash characterizes the atmosphere and the food. The Guacamole has Truffles in it and is the first thing our family of five orders. The servings are small (tiny even) so we needed three of those. The Fish Tacos are good but not superior as I expected from an Adam Baru restaurant. All of the dishes are excellently flavored and presented. The drinks are well done and the Mohitos have plenty of mint if you ask for it. Iâm not particularly impressed with the servers and I dislike going to the basement to find a toilet. Thatâs another story because the toilets are shared with the adjoining next door restaurant, Maniâs. By 10 pm the toilets can be like Guadalajara.

We very much enjoyed dinner here and are very excited at how fresh and tasty the food is. It is very obvious that the chef makes everything from scratch and the are no additives in the sauces or food. Everything was seasoned well. The chips and salsa were exceptionally good as were the desserts. And we cannot leave out that the mushroom bisque soup was the best we've ever had, incorporating portabella, shittake, and button mushrooms. The entrees were also great. We will be returning here and highly recommend it.

I was a faithful customer since the Singh family opened their Mexican restaurant in 1986 and was sorely disappointed when Bandito's landlord shut them down with a huge construction project to add two floors above the existing two-story structure for condominium units. The project took longer than expected as Bandito's waited patiently. They waited more than two years only to learn that the landlord intended to double their rent, so they looked elsewhere. They found a much larger space with lots of parking on near North Campus, at 3395 Plymouth Road, in the northwest quadrant of Plymouth Road and Green Road. In the former Olga's Restaurant space, behind Sweetwater's Cafe, Bandito's now has three times as much space as it had the old location on Fourth Avenue. The new place was completely renovated and opened on April 1, 2019. The menu has expanded and is as complete as I've seen in a Mexican restaurant. I celebrated with a marvelous, perfectly made Margarita with salt and lime. I had chips and salsa while waiting for my beef burrito. I will go back to enjoy other dishes.
