Reviews on Mexican food in Amecameca, Estado de Mexico, Mexico. Amecameca (formally Amecameca de Juárez) is a town and municipality located in the eastern panhandle of Mexico State between Mexico City and the Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl volcanos of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It is located on federal highway 115 which leads to Cuautla, which is called the Volcano Route (Ruta de los Volcanes). This area is popular with weekend visitors from Mexico City, Puebla and Morelos to enjoy the scenery of the mountains, eat local foods, visit the Sanctuary of the Señor del Sacromonte, the Panoaya Hacienda and other attractions. However, when Popocatépetl is active, tourism here drops dramatically. The area receives a large number of visitors during the annual Carnival/Festival del Señor del Sacromonte, which extends over the week containing Ash Wednesday and is considered to be one of the most important festivals in Mexico State.

My husband and I went there in October 2019 at 3 PM on a Friday. We did not have reservation. The restaurant was almost empty. We had a table. Within 20 minutes most of he tables were full. We ordered two lemonades that never came. We hot two glasses of water which was fine. It is an old fashioned restaurant with grumpy wait staff. We got spoiled in Mexico City by outstanding service in restaurants like Zefiro, Quintonil, Nicos, etc. The space is classy yet they serve tortillas in PLASTIC containers!!!!! What is wrong with the management? They could not find ceramics or baskets and appropriate fabrics to serve tortillas? Food was good. Once again old fashioned, traditional food, cooked well. We had shrimp tacos which was very tasty. Their bread basket was good too. The fish we ordered was disappointing. The sauce needed their tomatilla salsa to be tasty. Quality of the fish was good. The chile relleno was supposed to be two pieces but came in one piece. It was very good. Sauce and all. All along the service was terrible. No one ever came to the table to ask if we need anything. No one ever smiled except one of the managers. Been there done that. Not again.Hello, We appreciate your detalied review. We regret to know that your visit was disappointing and we are sorry about that. As we have 4 locations in Mexico City, and occasionally we find opinions left in the wrong page, we would like to make sure that you visited the San Ãngel branch, in order to take actions. We would be very grateful if you wrote us back to [email protected] . Best wishes.

Nice restaurant in a residential area. Very good service. Good selection of meats. Salmon and chicken also available and salads. The tacos de arrachera were very good. My chicken in citrus sauce was excellent and a large portion (I could only eat half the chicken). Nice service, good ambiance, good food. Prices not unreasonable.Hola SarraceniLe agradecemos profundamente el haberse tomado el tiempo para describir su experiencia con nosotros. An extreme culinary experience suspended at 45 meters high. Dinner in the Sky has been operating in more than 52 countries from 11 years.
The whole combination of an incredible place, the dishes perfectly prepared by a chef, hanging from a considerable height, the pyramids view and a nice talk and drinks make a once in a life time experience.I highly recommend it!

The food was good, service was attentive. Prices were fair for both the food and wine. We did not feel rushed, we were pleased. This was a good experience.Thank you Robert!

The best Mexican Restaurant with a lot of different choices like Steaks, Tacos, Fajitas, Salads, Pasta, soups, and a lot of different Salsas and Guacamole!
Visited this place in Polanco after reading excellent reviews at TripAdvisor. Maybe we were in an off day or it is possible that we did not order well. The appetizers were good, but the steaks were just OK. Since I visit Mexico often, maybe we will give it another chance in the future to have a great meal at this restaurant.Dear Mauricio, Thanks for your comments, and We´ll be very happy to see you again !We recommend you to order our Mix Faitas with tortillas and guacamole for the next time, we´re sure you Will enjoy them.

The food is good but the fact that is loud takes the place to another level. Maybe a place to go with friends in the night. Good meat if you are a meat lover but that is it. Not my kind of place.Hello, thank you very much for your review, it is very important to us and serves us to improve. Music is part of our concept but we will take into account what we review so that your next visit is totally pleasant. Best regards

A good choice of meat. Choose the NY rib steak with a nice glass of Mexican Malbec and the dinner was just fine. Maybe a little bit expensive compare to Mexican standard but for the rest nothing to say. I can highly recommend.Hola 354huguessMuchas gracias por tus comentarios, esperamos regreses pronto. ¡Saludos!

Da Silva is famous for its bakery, my personal [all-time] favorite being the chocolatin. However, this Da SILVA store offers food as well. The chilaquilies were great- one my favorites that Iâve eaten. I noticed another poster wrote that the portions were small, and I would agree with this comment, but I felt full and very pleased with my decision to eat here.Very nice, lovely café environment, good service and delicious food.
