There were a lot of people here and we got the last table.Warning, the salsa is super hot and they donât give you an option for a more mild version, too bad, itâs a waste when you canât eat it.The food was good but my husband said his was cold. They arenât very organized there, have more than one person waiting your table. Heard someone say the margaritas were excellent and hope to try one next time !

We go here frequently. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is quite good, served in ample portions. And, the price is right.

Home of legendary burritos & iconic Baja fish taco
I'm not sure what my wife loves about this place. To me, the mondo burrito CAN be made very, very large, but consists of things that have about zero flavor. I keep thinking that it's so big, it ought to fill me up. It never does. I'm always left hungry afterwards, and wonder why, because I just finished a burrito that easily weighed over a pound. The staff is usually friendly. I had one server that was barely interested in putting my food together, let alone serving it to me afterwards, and ringing it up. I doubt she works there anymore. All the others have been overly friendly. The prices aren't bad considering what you get, but I'm still questioning how something so large can leave me still hungry afterwards, and why everything I get there never tastes like anything.

We were really hoping for a good Mexican restaurant to eat at when we didn't feel like cooking. Unfortunately Don Chilitos didn't fit the bill. When I leave the restaurant saying I could have cooked the food much better and with more flavor, there is something wrong. I was with my in-laws, whom I love, but think salt is too much spice and they even thought Don Chilitos was flavorless. Our search for a good Mexican restaurant continues.

A friend really likes this place so I've eaten here several times. The chips, salsa and bean dip are good and most of the entrees I've had are decent. Margaritas are weak. OK selection of beers.

Whenever we have a craving for Mexican food we head to Tapatio Mexican Restaurant. Our grandchildren especially love it when they come to visit us and the good is great. We love the Tapatio Burrito, the combination plates of tacos, tamales and burritos plus the seafood platter is outstanding. Head there for a great meal with warn service. It's great your whole family has enjoyed our tacos, tamales, and burritos! We're getting hungry just thinking about that delicious combination. Hoping you'll join us again soon!Appreciate the support, The El Tapatio family

Two years later, after my last review of Lupe's, they didn't change a thing! Some times a good thing, but not in the case of the chips that come to the table. The salsa is still a thick red sauce, with a little kick to it. But when you grab up a chip, the disappointment comes really fast. "These are thick and cold. They do offer a bit of snap when you eat them but it is very much like eating a saltine that has been sitting around for a week absorbing everything in the air. The second basket brought to the table was the same thing so essentially the meal starts a down hill slide before you order arrives. The best Mexican places we have eaten at bring you HOT chips and they are more like a potato chip than a thick cold cracker. I'm pretty sure they have a warming oven and could purchase a better brand of chips."Nothing changed. The rest of the food thank goodness was pretty good despite the poor chips offering. The Margarita was on the weak side, most likely having been an alcohol and mix concoction out of a large container. Portion sizes were very good and pricing was in the "expected" range.Be aware this is a small business, and they prefer cash at the cash register. My bill was over $70 for 4 people plus drinks so they did accept a card for that. You could be embarrassed here on a lesser tab and they demanding cash. I will say, they didn't make any issue of paying by card this year, so maybe that is the extent of the improvements. The cook I saw from the cash register location appeared to be Asian. The only Mexican was the bus boy (man) who has English as a second language. The restaurant is not terribly authentic "Mexican" and it isn't really a standard American restaurant either. Sort of a blended mishmash of both. At least our guests enjoyed the dinner...
