I took my wife and 2 grandsons for chicken dinner. We ordered the box of 10 pieces of dark meat plus 2 sides and drinks. We all enjoyed our meal. There was used napkins and other pieces of paper on the floor. They need to pay a little more attention to cleaning the floor and tables. Service was very good and the server/cashier was very helpful.

First off, what's up with the name "La Cocina?" Well, actually, it's simple. "La Cocina" means the 'kitchen' in Spanish. It's pronounced as though the "i" in Cocina was an "e". So it sounds like it should be La Cocena. La Cocina was started in 2003. Our f
We have been to La Cocina several times, never been disappointed, right the reverse. The staff and Mgt are so friendly and accommodating , they give you what you want, the way you want it, no question. The food and drinks are very good.Good choice for a Mexican style restaurant
Food is ok to pretty good. Service is not. Manager's seem friendly enough but are more than willing to let your new-on-the-job server fall completely flat on their face (metaphorically speaking) before they will attempt to fix the problem. This place just needs an A-hole manager to get the helps attention. Inside could use some sprucing up also.
The Taco Salad here ("Close Talker") is one of the best in town. Why? Because you can choose your own ingredients. You can stack it high if you wish, or keep the bowl shallower and more manageable. I like how they give ooey gooey cheese in a separate container; makes for an excellent sauce to pour over the salad. And you can have guacamole and not have to pay extra for it. That's the way to do it!The service is always good, with smiling and helpful shop staffers. Always a plus.I told the cashier that my to-go box looked like a cake, all wrapped in its box!

Really a great dinner. The staff was excellent, Brice and Ashley. I had a problem with my Chili's loyalty card and Ashley got the manager to come over and help me and he did. Could not have asked for better service here. Food was timely and steak perfectly cooked. Steak and broccoli were great. Potatoes were good. Absolutely will come back and recommend to others.

Stopped here for lunch expecting a lunch menu, but there wasnât one. I ordered the enchiladas deluxe. They were good and filling. I also ordered the guacamole which the server mixed at the table, it was very tasty and fresh.

Fast Door Dash delivery with hot tasty food for dinner. We had massive sized chicken chimichanga with all chicken no filler. The Special Dinner was gigantic with taco, beef enchilada, Chile relleno, bean chalupa and tamale. Cheese dip and salsa too. Great REAL authentic Mexican food. Recommend them.

Staying overnight in the area we found this restaurant in a nearby strip mall. My initial impression was not good as we sat down to an old tattered menu. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the spinach quesadilla which came with rice and it was delish (and big)! A 27 oz. draft of Dos Equis Amber was $6.50. Nice place to unwind with good food and friendly staff.

Huey Lueyâs used to be my favorite place for Mexican food in the area. Their Ultimate Queso is the best anywhere, and the food is consistently good. Unfortunately the service has been declining for about a year. My last several visits had me hoping that my experience was a one-off, but it happens again and again.Last evening we were there. Despite the fact that there were FOUR people, including a manager, at the hostess station, they completely forgot about us, even though we were standing right there, immediately seating several parties who came in after. We had to remind them we were still waiting before we were seated. Our waiter came right to the table and took our drink orders which were delivered promptly, but nobody gave us utensils. He came to take our food order, but, once again, neglected utensils. The kitchen brought our food promptly and hot, but, again, no utensils to eat it with. We had to go to the hostess station, where they had to send someone to get utensils because they ran out and just ignored that fact. A little too busy chatting with each other to pay attention to basic service.I realize we were there at dinner time on a Saturday and they were busy, but a well-run restaurant doesnât ignore the little things - like customers. The management person at the hostess station should have been spending more time ensuring the staff was doing their jobs. It isnât enough for him to greet people coming and going if he isnât paying attention to getting tables cleaned, getting utensils placed and getting the tables turned over to seat the customers who are waiting.I am sorry to hear that you have had this experience several times. This is actually not characteristic at all of what I typically hear and read about visits to Huey Luey's. I am terribly sorry to hear that you had to wait for silverware. That should have never happened, and I do sincerely apologize for the lack of awareness on behalf of hostesses and management. I am in our Acworth location quite often, and we do have a great team of servers who consistently give excellent service. We also very recently added a new manager, and he is doing an incredible job motivating and coaching our servers and bartenders on the importance of valuing each and every guest. We again apologize for the recent lapses in service that have occurred. We do hope we get the opportunity to have you back for the type of experiences that made you a loyal guest of Huey Luey's in the first place. Thank you for the valuable feedback.Warm regards, Richard, Owner

Live nearby and frequently eat here. Itâs usually very busy, but we do get seated fairly quickly after check in. The food is consistently good, the adult beverages are good, the waitstaff experienced, and all make for an enjoyable meal at a good price.
