We called here after a poor experience at nearby Vivaldi. They were closing as we had tried earlier without a reservation. ( reservation essential) The wonderful owner offered us âFlemish stew â was available as kitchen had closed. The stew was âmelt in the mouthâ gorgeous, tasty and accompanied by fresh cooked chips fresh salad and bread. Staff were warm, friendly and despite closing shortly our meal was relaxed. I would recommend this and book to avoid disappointment. Well done team you were fantastic! Dearest customer, thank you so much for this amazing review The chef closed the kitchen 15 minutes before you arrived. I don't know why but when I told you we were closed, i felt like sadness inside. I could't let you go with a hungry feeling â¤ï¸ It was a satisfaction for me to see you enjoying your Flemish stew. My wife and I are in Ypres for the centenary of the end of the Great War, the town is really busy! We found this little gem down a side street not far from the cloth hall square.My wife had the lamb koftas which were superb!I had the beef fahitas with roasted peppers and that was amazing!! The young lad serving us was attentive, efficient & friendly!Highly recommend!Thank you for your visit and your nice review,Hope to see next time you visit our city,Kindly regards

I really enjoyed eating at el greco. yannis is a really kind guest and his mix of french-dutch-english-greek gives already the impression you are travelling!The food was very good (we took a menu) but really too much! it's was impossible to finish everything. the decoration is a bit kitch (lots of paintings of Greeks heroes) but it makes part of the experience! all in all I would say that eating at el greco was pleasant and not too expensive.thank you yannis
