I know this place since some 35 years, as I used to live in the area. Now living abroad I visit now and again. This time with a friend having lunch. They have various lunch options, which are very reasonably priced. I remember the pizza as being very good there - so I had a salad, followed by pizza. And it was delicious. Drinking some Rivella (a soft drink which is produced in this village of Rothrist).

What a wonderful evening sitting outside On a shaded patio next to the river in Olten. Fresh fish is their specialty & they do it extremely well. To begin our repast, we chose steamed mussels in a rich tomato/white wine sauce. Next, a great Caesar salad was enjoyed wth homemade croutons and hand shaved Parmesan. Sea bass (cooked in foil with tomatoes/spices) & turbot (specialty of week) were both presented with an assortment of fresh vegetables @ potatoes. For desert, we shared a delicious fruit pans cotta.In addition, the restaurant features an assortment of well priced & unusual Italian wines. Had dinner multiple time as visitor from thotel. Staff seems to be under-experienced. The pasta's and salads are ok. Other food cannot be rated more than average compared to the price. They have agood selection of open wines but far from cheap. Staff doesn't know about it so rely on your own wine knowledge...

Ausgezeichnete italienische Küche. Die Paccheri con salsiccia sind hervorragend.Das Ambiente ist, als wäre man irgendwo in Italien und nicht in Aarburg.Da wir das Glück haben, 5 Minuten entfernt zu wohnen, werden wir das Calarcoâs häufiger besuchen.

Tasty, carefully cooked, artfully presented, fusion food served by competent, obliging staff in this welcoming, stylish restaurant a short walk across the Aar river from the Olten railway station. The delicious food is well worth the extra cost. Leave room for dessert. The main challenge is deciding what to order from the interesting menu.Our lunch here was certainly one of my best dining experiences in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

I can confirm the other comments. From outside it looks like a common fast food restaurant, but if you go inside and have some food or tea you really get the difference: fresh made orient food, very tasty, served nicely and decorated on plates, very friendly owner. I can really recommend this place!

Probably the best pizza outside of Italy⦠If you like thin crust pizzas you have to visit this place. Pasta dishes are also recommended. Great outside seating with a view. However, interior a bit old, dates back to the late 70ies⦠a renovation seems to be necessary⦠But due to good pricing, service and quality ratio always a go!

We very much enjoyed this restaurant, which has a great choice of delicious dishes, not limited to the traditional pasta and pizza, but also encompassing meat and fish dishes. I ordered the salmon with risotto, which was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We even received a small complimentary portion of a delicious soup as a starter. I totally recommend it!
