An unassuming place on Metropolitan Ave by 71st-Continental in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, an obviously family-run restaurant with no frills accommodations (but white cloth napkins), one could pass by it w/o noticing it. But the eggplant appetizers we tried were super-great, the kebabs very flavorful, the salad cold and fresh, the accompanying bread -ah, the bread - divine, the best i can remember in many years! All in all, a very healthy and satisfying meal. Yes, some of the foods are a little spicy for some delicate American palates, but they are no more than tingling. Service was friendly and competent. All in all, 5 thumbs up!

We went here for a family occasion. There was a large party that produced nonstop shouting and screaming that seemed ever louder because of the reflective surfaces in the restaurant. When we asked the manager to do something, he shrugged his shoulders and said he could not do anything. As a result, what was supposed to be a nice family party was spoiled. We will never go there again.

Wanted a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised that most of the food here was very good, particularly the burgers! Chicken fingers slightly overcooked, but everything else was really delicious! Service was also good although a bit on the slow side. Prices also reasonable....

I have been here several times and the food is always very fresh and full of flavor. The staff is very friendly and attentive especially the owner Annie who always seems to be present, greeting diners and talking to the guests. If you arenât sure what to get just ask her for recommendations. I donât think Iâve ever had anything I didnât like from this place. The only thing I would like that they donât have is specials. The menus is great but small and stays the same. Some specials that change weekly orMonthly would be nice for a change of pace.Definitely will be going back and recommending this place to friends.

Saturday. Arrived at tail end of brunch. All good until shift change and our waitress disappeared (around 4p on a Saturday). At this point we became invisible. Food was good. Bus service was good. Waitress service gets failing grade. Its really hard for me to not want to leave a tip. This day warranted it. (We still left 15% and that was way generous). Owner was there and he too was oblivious to the problem. (I hope he reads this post.) We were really dumbfounded. Brunch over at 330. Recommend not arriving between 3-330. After or before should avoid the problem we had.

Last time I reviewed this restaurant, 5-years ago, it was my first time there. Now we've been there countless times and Nick's never disappoints. From great service (waitstaff assists all tables at all times) to a good bar and incredible food - it's all fabulous. On this week's visit I ordered the Special Appetizer of the Day - sesame coated feta cheese with a honey drizzle. I cannot wait to eat this deliciousness again! Yay Nick's - you've done it again and again!
