It is a beautiful restaurant in a very cool part of town. Normally we love tapas but they dropped the ball. The flavors overall were good but the service was terrible. They were extremely slow and haphazardly brought out our dishes. I wouldnât recommend.

Sat at bar in relatively quiet restaurant. My entree came out 15" after my friend's (It's a tapas restaurant, however, I specifically requested our meals to be served at the same time) My octopus was cold and chewy. There are a lot of dining options in Wellesley. It will be some time before I try this restaurant again.

I recently returned to the Aegean and noted an uptick in the quality of the food. The service remained welcoming and very professional. I enjoyed the horta as a starter and had a lovely Greek salad with perfectly grilled fresh salmon as my main. My dining pattner enjoyed the spinach pies. We then shared the dessert sampler for two (best baklava I've had in a long time) and finished with good coffee - so many restaurants seem to short change the coffee preparation. The salad dressing for my Greek was delicate and served along side - just oil, vinegar and garlic. A plate full of extra lemons were provided for my generous portion of horta. The wine list was more than adequate and we enjoyed a lovely assyrtiko from Santorini.

Enjoyed a swordfish over fatoush salad; started with meatballs (kibbee) and stuffed grape leaves - all good. Bekaa valley Cabernet (Ksara) was good too. Finished with a nice double espresso. Service was friendly and helpful. I will return for one of the lamb dishes.

Having read the reviews, I expected something better than the other places around, specifically Aegean and Pizza Peddlar. Guess I fell for the cliches like "hidden treasure/jewel", "best kept secret" etc. Meager portions, re-heat of previously cooked, lukewarm, uninspired. I'll stick with Pizza Peddlar when I want a giro.

A spirited Mediterranean bistro in the heart of Wellesley, Massachusetts, Juniper offers creative, generously portioned plates filled with the "feel good flavors" signature to Eastern Mediterranean cuisine in an eclectic, colorfully adorned space. Juniper
Would have been excellent if dishes were clean. Everything in this place is good, except clean plates were hard to come by. Food was scrumptious, environment was friendly and nice art too. Just that the first thing I see is a dirty plate kind of makes a bad impression. And then when the server went to provide new plates after the mussels the plate he was about to give me was also dirty but at least the waiter caught it before I had to ask. This is where I have to say teamwork and how every role in a restaurant is crucial. No clean plates, no excellent review.

I brought a friend for her first visit. She was astonished at the array of choices and wonderful, sensory pleasures of Turkish cuisine. We enjoyed an early, quiet lunch, before many others descended. I look forward to trying other, tempting dishes. I was unfamiliar with many, so I have a LOT to learn (and to savor).
