Each month we try to get together and try a new place for lunch - or dinner — this month was Lebnani Restaurant in Watertown Ct. it’s small but comfortable in the way it was set up. We put two tables together and were in a corner - so as to not bother other patrons we tend to talk a lot. Food was very good- and large portions and the wait time was not long at all for the food to arrive — we had the stuffed grape leaves and Canadian poutine (FF with gravy and cheese) along with there battata ( diced potato salad - and house salads—-as a start - only I had lentil soup — all very tasty and filling ! We ordered the beef shawarma beef wrap and chicken rice bowls and chicken shawarma with tomato’s and onions over rice dinners and a combo platter #3–chicken and beef shawarma over rice — all were huge portions and we all took some home —for lunch at work tomorrow we all had a great time — and will return again to try other menu items. You should give it a try if you are on the area and want to try some authentic Lebanese food

I've reviewed Vasi's many times on TripAdvisor and generally have had good things to say. When I heard Chef Gordon Ramsay was in town to take Vasi's on, I was truly shocked, because Vasi's has not had a problem keeping its parking lot filled. I've always thought of Vasi's as a restaurant known for its killer martinis/cocktails. Turns out that's exactly what most people think, and the owner has been looking to take the place in a different direction, since there are roughly 75 Italian restaurants in the immediate Waterbury area. Being "good" won't cut it. Enter Chef Ramsay; it was just as rough as you might expect. I do admit I'm a fan of the tall, blonde Scottish Chef who openly speaks his mind, so I was worried when I visited Vasi's this past weekend. I shouldn't have been. First, the interior looks fantastic; by that, I mean the decor. The staff still seemed a bit shaken up by Ramsay's two-day visit! The new blue and white style is airy and reminiscent of Greece; what a nice change. The heavier, dark booths are gone, replaced by a simple, open floor plan of wooden tables. The menu now is in transition and limited, but the offerings focus on "The Road from Rome to Athens" designed by Chef Ramsay himself, though keeping some of Vasi's stronger dishes. I was very pleased with this. Also, I was assured that my favorite cocktails would remain available to order. My photos will show you in better detail than my words can possibly manage, but I will say that my fellow diners and I were in heaven with the food. We started with a Mediterranean Platter, and the warm hummus was divine. As for entrees: one of my dining companions squealed with pleasure when she first tasted her linguine and clams, and I thoroughly enjoyed my NY Strip (I luckily snagged the last one, and this was at 2 pm in the afternoon!). My other dining companion loved her Pan Roasted Chicken. Michelle was our server; polite, patient, and pleasant. Martinis aplenty! Espresso, Cucumber, Milky Way, Chocolate Banana, Lemon with Strawberry, Orange, and the list goes on. We indulged and I am not ashamed. We will happily return to the newly revamped Vasi's, and I encourage others to do so as well. Chef Ramsay enhanced Vasi's strongest assets (including its staff), its authentic roots, and made small changes to reflect a step into the modern era. It worked!

San Marino Restaurant

San Marino's is a family run and operated restaurant that's been serving classic Southern Italian cuisine for almost 5 decades. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Full service bar and outdoor dining available. Bring the kids, too!

Nina and I, along with eight family members, enjoyed dinner at San Marino on the day after Thanksgiving. What a good time we had. Nina called in reservations, and we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was very attentive and quick to make appropriate suggestions where needed. As an example, I asked for a side of hot Italian Sausage, well, they had only sweet available. That's ok. I had a sweet Italian Sausage on the side of my Cheese Ravioli. This was served with salad and warm bread. I had an ice cold Budweiser, too. This restaurant is nice and comfortable for groups of all sizes. We've been here many times, and for many different reasons. This is one of Waterbury's finest restaurants.I rate San Marino with five stars. Please do come and enjoy this restaurant. you will not be disappointed.
