We come for dinner. At the entrance we were made aware that the restaurant had been closed and therefore some plates were not available. Also the service had some problem and in fact it took us more than 2 hours to have dinner. The food was not bad, I'll quote it average for Italian standard. Prices are a bit high, but we are on the Maggiore lake! Overall nothing special or to suggest.

We had a very enjoyable meal here, despite the storm that brewed up, we sat outside on the veranda which is really nice. The food was great, everything we had was top quality. I especially liked my fish ragout with spaghetti. The service is extremely efficient and friendly too.

Disappointing. Was expecting better based on the reviews.Below par service - pleasant enough but missed on a few levels. Wrong water, had to ask for bread, wine...Food looked great on the plate but... Luke warm rabbit. Undercooked pasta (and I am not talking al dente - it was undercooked). The dishes seemed to come out very quickly to all tables which might explain the problem. And more like $$$ than $$. Attractive room, good bread, good coffee.Maybe everyone was a bit off their game after a busy Easter weekend.

We went for a wedding at lunch. Beautiful sorroundings with the pristine waters of the lake and a little village view. The food was very good. Appetizers with a good choice of cheese and ham delicacies and fried vegetables. Risotto done in an enourmous pan was delicious and the fassona meat incredible. Also the millefoglie dessert with raspberries was excellent. Great food in a wonderful secluded location.

Fantastic food here with a very talented chef. Well worth a visit both for dinner and very reasonable lunchtime menu. They have lovely outside area but we preferred the tables inside as the interior is really well done.

Thanks to TA we were lucky enough to test this place. This is typically a restaurant I would never have been to from just looking at it from outside. It is very basic and offers simple dishes but they're all made with fresh ingredients. This is probably how it would taste if you were invited to some locals family dinner. Plus service is excellent and extremely friendly. Prices are unbeatable. It is certainly off the beaten track but this is probably where the locals come for a meal. It's definitely worth the detour.

The court was built around the same time as the Moncucco monastery, in proximity to Lake of varese wasof great strategic importance during this era. The Noble Strada family of Milano were landlords here for around two centuries ..

... A small corner of paradise ... How nice to be lulled by the sweet notes of the selected music while enjoying a glass of wine that accompanies dishes of tradition and innovation in which Alex and Max compete by offering their passion in the pot . The s
We had dinner with three whole families. The owner greeted us and loved to talk about the food. It was a fantastic experience. We took his advise on the primi and segundi and we were not disappointed. The tastes were great. The location is in a historic village, which begs for a stroll before or after dinner. Finished with a delicious dessert. Unfortunately we missed the primary platter of the restaurant which is chocolate salami because they had run out. So we will have to come back one day. Bring enough cash because the dinner was pricey. But sooo worth it!
