Great fresh food! Grilled calamari is outstanding. Very fresh fish and wonderful Greek salad. This is a very nice dining atmosphere with nice selection on wines. Wonderful service I highly recommend this place. Short 4 blocks from Royal York hotel and few blocks from Hilton.

Read the reviews and was excited. The interior was super neat but the food was not nearly as good. Discovered this is part of a trendy restaurant group in Toronto - and now I get it. Will not return.

Joso's is an eclectic spot with unique (and often erotic) art adorning the walls of the cozy, two storey building. You come here for the fish and a platter is paraded to your table showing what is on offer. Most of the selections are from the Mediterranean and are prepared just one way - grilled and lightly oiled and salted. We found the fish most flavourful and the staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are on the high side and the building is starting to show its age.

Saturday night dinner was delightful until the restaurant started filling up! The noise level is high and spoiled what was intended to be a quiet dinner. Food was okay I personally did not enjoy the ambience as it had a hustle about the entire experience

the restaurant looks really good and the food is overall quite good. I have been there twice and the first time the service was fantastic. However, the second time, service was slow and unfriendly. The waiter was not very accommodating in regards to dietary requests. Also, although its good, its too expensive for what you get. Not good value.

Spent a wonderful evening with family in this cozy Italian restaurant. The service was amazing, very helpful and professional. Great variety of Italian Mediterranean cuisine. Rainbow trout special was amazing as was gnocchi... actually everything! Portion sizes were perfect. And homemade bread was perfect.

Service I did not enjoy. Though food was great. Wine list was not clear. Just regions without varietal or style. Recommended wine not suitable. Chosen wine too warm. Interaction strained. Felt I had to insist before desired service achieved. Attention should be more geared to serving customer desires than rushing them through

Madrina Bar y Tapas definitely serves very good food, nicely presented and tasting delicious. Our party of four followed the server's recommendation and we went for a tasting menu, 10 tapas. It gave us a lot of variety, which was nice. However the speed at which tapas were coming did not allow us to appreciate the food and have a conversation. When, after the 3rd serving we mentioned to the waiter that we would like to slow down, he kindly replied that he would pass our request to the chef. But it ended there; the pace did not change and we were feeling pushed around. You have to keep in mind that the tables are very small and if you pile thing up, it gets chaotic to the point you are almost scared to reach anything. The noise level, music and people talking, was also too high to have a pleasant dining experience; if you want to have a conversation, you need to scream. As someone else mentioned, this is a good restaurant for a pre or post dinner drink and tapas but if you hope for a good diner it might not be the best place. To sum up, it was very expensive for the experience.Lidia, thank you for following the server's recommendation! I'm disappointed to hear you felt rushed, this was not our intention. Moreover, I am especially sorry that we failed to slow the pacing down when you tried to communicate this to us.Please know that you have been heard and we will learn from your feedback. We hope we'll have another opportunity to show you the 5-star experience you deserve and we are known for.All the very best,Stuart K

After many meals over the past years at LaVinia, we have never been disappointed. The food is delicious served with warmth and impeccable service. Paella, fish, and meat dishes do not disappoint. The tapas are typical of Spanish cuisine being flavorful and varied. Love the Iberico ham.

Had a great night. Pino our waiter was fabulous! He provided fantastic service with a side of comic relief. He was so much fun! I would go back and ask to be seated at his table area again. The food and drinks were delicious. Had the calamari/shrimp salad appetizer and it was tender and tasty. My main was a special of the night - spigolla (fish) and it was delicious and I would have it again. Great espresso and the creme brûlée was very good...someone at the table said it was the best heâs ever had. We would go back to belsito for sure. Loved the night. Loved the singing waiter that sang a couple of tunes.Thank you Soniaolivia for taking the time to write this great review. Pino smiled when he read your comments, thank you for recognizing his work. We look forward to your next visit!Gino Guercio
