Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Vancouver. Canada's largest metropolis, Vancouver is a city of varied landscapes and diverse population. Its mix of the scenic and urban mean that weekenders can spend the morning taking advantage of its beaches, ski mountains, and hiking trails, only to kick back in the evening at first-rate restaurants and wine bars among a labyrinth of skyscrapers. As friendly and welcoming as it is ethnically diverse, the streets are crowded with different languages being spoken everywhere, and the city's sights, sounds, and flavors are a hodgepodge of warm multiculturalism. It is a haven both for the urbanite and the sportsman, offering all the sophistication of a modern city center, with a strong focus on the arts and a burgeoning cafe culture, but with charming suburban outlets and easy outdoor day trips. Though the city is often split into three districts, Vancouver and its surrounding environs feature multiple neighbourhoods, each with their own character and draw, in one massive conglomeration. Take your time and explore as many of them as possible.

Often regarded as one of the worldâs healthiest cuisines, Lebanese food combines the sophistication and subtleties of European cuisines with the exotic ingredients of the Middle and Far East. Here at Nuba, we offer authentic lebanese cuisine in harmony an
I'd never been here before - and it was busy. We had a very brief wait and were glad for having made a reservation for a large, family group. No previous experience with Lebanese food, so I was a little up in the air on the menu - until the waiter mentioned a special at $28 per person where you had UNLIMITED hot or cold dishes, and selected one protein (and there were several to choose from ). Now imagine delicious humus, taboulleh salad, baba ghanooj, their special cauliflower, falafel, lentil stew, vegetarian stew ... and so much more. Drinks of course are not included - and those who had bevvies were impressed. One of our group tried their Turkish coffee, and was not disappointed. For something different, I tried the kawha bayda, an orange blossom water tea (Lebanese café blanc). Great for after a meal!I've been to buffets at a casino where the cost was $21 a person and the food was really leftovers. This was incredible food, incredible value.I will definitely be returning!

Terrific place for a special occasion meal. We chose the fixed price three course meal and could not have been more satisfied. Every morsel was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. The dress code (business casual) helps provide a nice ambience, and the jazz band (plays on Wednesdays) was superb. The atmosphere was lively without being boisterous. You definately need reservations. By no means cheap, but sooo good.

Osteria Savio Volpe is a restaurant styled after the classic osteria - rustic fare in the Italian tradition of freshness and regionality, using groceries gathered in the nearby lakes, oceans, farms and fields. Everything is prepared in the simplest, most
One of the most incredible meals of my long life! Two couples celebrating my birthday. To a person, every staff member who interacted with us was gracious and warm. The hostess, the server, the sommelier, the lovely young man who cleared our plates and refilled our water glasses. But the food! OMG. We chose the familia style and let them choose our menu. Seven courses of fresh, inspired magic. Because it was a milestone birthday celebration, we went all out and had wine pairings with each - which enriched the experience that much more. Just everything was perfect. Can't rave enough about the "wise fox." Yes, it's noisy and crowded, but that's part of the atmosphere - in a good way. Treat yourself and find out what all the fuss is about!

During my visit to Vancouver my friend proposed a get together with his husband and a friend of ours. He proposed this place because of the Happy Hour. It was very enjoyable. We were well greeted and decided to sit inside. Alena was our server and was top notch. I followed her advice and my choices were great! I had the meatballs and tiramisu. She asked me which size of red wine and picked the 8oz (not on the menu) The price turned out adequate ($8.).My friends were very happy with their visit as well. We only wish that our friend was not so loud...Will return for sure!Thank you for joining us. Alena is one of our superstars and truly loves making sure our guests well looked after. We will be sure to share your kind words with Alena & our culinary team. We would love for you to join us again soon!Warm regards,Kevin LinAssistant General Manager

Old school authentic Italian environment. Service was impeccable and the servers helped each other in the entire restaurant. There was no âthis is not my stationâ I enjoyed a perfectly shaken martini. We decided the menu was interesting and wanted to taste several items so we shared dishes which were split for us at table side. Our server recommended spot prawns because of their short season which were perfectly prepared then to a lobster salad with a main course of rack of lamb and finally a cannoli.....yum. Oops forgot to mention the served bread with olive oil both great quality. Nice wine selection.

Had such high expectations considering the wait times and other reviews. The atmosphere, venue etc. is great. The waitress was lovely too.The food however, was awful. The bacon, sausages and beans are just not what we are used to in European cuisine. Everything is so sweet and rubbery. I'm not sure if it's just in Canada, but these people need to try a proper fry up in Europe.
