An old friend many years ago invited me to l'Aurora since it was a good compromise to meet (he was coming from Milan, I from Genoa). Since then, I have found myself planning my trips in Italy based on the lunch (or dinner) here. A family run restaurant with a traditional touch both on the design side and the menu, has a great cantina that always supports the seasonal changes in the offer. Recommended if you are in the area and you wanna time travel...

This "Duepuntozero", restaurant/bar recently opened in my personal opinion is one of the most beautiful bars and characteristic in the wholeTortona. Housed in a historic town square, this place is absolutely ideal to have a little 'relaxation, beautiful decor, attention to detail, young staff smiling and very helpful.Coffee is very good, these are the factors that lead me to always come here.

Il Voltone is composed of a restaurant and bar, and is located in the Castle Park of Tortona. The restaurant has about 45 indoor spaces and 45 covered outdoor areas, plus a panoramic terrace of about 400 square meters on the 2nd floor, ideal for events. T
We were a party of 4 from Ireland over for a wedding. 3 adults and a toddler. Not a word of Italian between us!! The staff could not have been more helpful to us and when they couldn't translate for us they drew to explain!! Food extremely tasteful. Lovely wine. Beautiful setting just beside Casa Cuniolo and the Castle. Highly recommend this restaurant.Thank you Irish friends for the beautiful review; for us it is an honor to be able to make happy all customers, especially those who come from far away.A special greeting to little Emma. We look forward to you when you return to Italy. Follow us on our fb pageSigned: the designer :)

Tiny place with extremely good food and wine in the hearth of the old town. The food is based on combining the best italian prime materials with a touch of inventive flavours. The result is superb: pure taste. The atmospher in the warm summer nights is also very pleasent. A must to try.

It's the third time I dine with my family in this very nice restaurant located in the center of Tortona. I have only positive comments : very kind service, good food and a huge wine list with a special attention to local producers.

Soleluna, nata nel 2007 in una struttura architettonica originale costruita negli anni '70 per ospitare la prima discoteca di Tortona e poi trasformatasi negli anni '80 come sede di una famosa gelateria... Al suo interno trova ora posto un locale moderno
We drove out of our way from serravalle designer outlet heading to Milano to try this restaurant. It was worth the drive. The food was very good, perfectly prepared pasta and pizza. The best pasta and pizza we ever had. We are on a euro trip and this is our last leg of our trip and I can confidently say that this is by far the best meal that we had for this trip. This is one of the best food experience I have. So,if you are around the area, it's worth a try. Did I say the food was great? The service is excellent too. I hope I find my way back here again in the future. We appreciate so much this comment about your positive experience at Soleluna. See you soon!

In the heart of Tortona, inside the ancient Roman-medieval refectory of the Abbey of Santo Stefano, La Corte is reborn thanks to a new management and welcoming rooms entirely renovated. A cuisine that has its roots in local excellence grows and differs ac
I came here once after the takeover, for a business lunch, already welcoming the beautiful court makes a difference, the restaurant has a beautiful interior décor, imaginative and refined with some antique furniture. The lunch menu was a bit 'reduced or 4-5 choices between entre and main course.I personally chose Taglioni pasta with mushroom sauce, all accompanied by a glass of tasty red wine. Awesome food and equally good service. Prices frankly too high, ⬠9 -10 for a plate of pasta, too much ...Other than that it was a positive experience.

All 4 of us (2 Austrians, 2 Swiss-German) have been very satisfied during our stopover lunch with the wonderful atmosphere of this nice backyard restaurant; very quiet and clean. The owner and chief in the kitchen (born in Tunisia) is a very service-oriented, gentle person, who loves to service his guests with perfectly home-made food. It is a mixture of Italien and oriental (Tunisian) dishes, fresh and delicate. Even 4 different meals with 2-3 plates each have been prepared in short time and got served very warm and good. This is a recommendation to everybody, incl. families. Price/Quality relation is outstanding.

In the hamlet of Bettole, a couple of km from the centre of Pozzolo F.Here one eats Piedmontese cooking with a distinctly French accent. The owner is a coeliac; in consequence nearly the whole menu is gluten-free. It also changes 4 times a year to ensure produce is seasonal and as far as possible local. There are two set menus â one based on fish, one on meat and local produce; respectively â¬35 and â¬44 per head excluding drinks; they are only available, though, for the whole table. We ate from the carte because we weren't hungry enough to do either of them justice. It was hard to choose from all the tempting antipasti. In the end, we ignored scollops with creamed artichoke and fried artichoke, SanRemo scampi with ginger and green apple or a hazelnut tempura, and the pan-fried escalope of foie-gras with a passion-fruit coulis in favour of fried snails with wild mushrooms (in the autumn, they would have been porcini; but this was late winter) on a bed of creamed Jerusalem artichokes, and carne cruda, that old Piedmontese standby, this time spiced up with anchovies and capers. Our main course was a Piedmontese take on tournedos Rossini â the covering for which added grated Castelmagno cheese and a roasted chestnut sauce to the traditional foie-gras. Nearly all of the desserts are gluten-free; but I was the only one with any room for a pudding. I chose the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream. I now know why so many Masterchef hopefuls try to make a fondant â it was absolutely delicious, and the ice-cream was nearly on a par with that of Conti's Café in Lampeter.Washing all this down with a 2006 Passum (Barbera d'Asti Superiore) from the Cascina Castlet in Costigliole d'Asti, a large bottle of mineral water, and coffee, we were very happy to walk away for a total of â¬119.Guys, if your wives aren't enthusiastic at the idea of this restaurant, you can tell them it is only 15km from the MacArthur Glen designer outlet in Serravalle Scrivia. I think lunch here would be worth the 45km drive from our house near Nizza Monferrato; but if you have to put up with a morning's shopping at Serravalle and pretending to know the difference between Moschino and Missoni (I don't, either), then it's your due!
