This is our favourite restaurant in Windsor! It looks nondescript from the exterior and even when you walk in you wonder. But the tiny dining area is wonderful. Old world charm, quiet enough to have a meaningful conversation with your companion and the food is to die for! Attentive wIt staff! Adequate wine selection! We always return to Eddies!

The name souq derives from the Arabic word سÙÙ for market. souq takes your taste buds on a culinary adventure of flavour. Flavour, Freshness, Spice, and Atmosphere all have deep roots in the Orient. From the sweetness of Morocco, to the ancient recipes of
Wonderful service featuring great variety of dishes from the many of the gulf countries. Ordered lentil soup halloumi vegetarian tangine and a tangine with meat.and the cauliflower Tahini I love the actual dishes that the food is served on and the food was fantastic!! Veggies cooked yet still firm meat dropped off the bone so tender cauliflower lemony but good soup great and the halloumi also fantastic. Couscous was very tasty as was rice side. . Service was lovely property very clean it was - birthday day for 3 of the staff and nice to see and hear happy birthday in Arabic sung. The owner I believe came out to explain they were going to sing for a few minutes. Loved all the flavours I have enjoyed while visiting GCC Levant here in an area restaurant thatâs not shawarma cantered.! nice to have them so close. Never thought I would see Koshary on a menu in Windsor. Definitely a new favourite.Great job!

Made reservations two weeks in advance because of the Thursday night half price wine special which we had enjoyed three times before. When we made the reservation we double checked to ensure the special was still valid. On arrival we triple checked and the very nice waiter stated it was still valid, so our table of 8 ordered 4 bottles of wine with our diners. When the bill arrived the waiter stated the manager changed the rules and we would only receive 2 bottles of wine at half price per table. We politely put forth our position that you cannot change the rules in the middle of dinner, however the manager refused to make amends.Hello gwclark,I apologize for the miscommunication and inconvenience we've caused you. I've looked into the situation and I also spoke to your server. We would definitely love to make it up to you. The Thursday wine specials however are on House Wine only, we had made accommodations to let you order off the full menu. As well the discount would only be applied if everyone at the table ordered an entree however reviewing your bill some guest had just ordered salads as their meal. That is why you unfortunately did not receive the discounts however, I told your server to still give you the discounts of 2. It was a miscommunication on our part and I apologize. I hope you give us another chance, like I mentioned we'd love to have you back. Please email me at [email protected] so we are able to make accommodations for you! Thank you, Eddy Hammoud

The Shish Tawook was WONDERFUL. Tender, nicely spiced chicken, fluffy, properly cooked rice and a good fattoush salad. Generous portion and properly priced. There are three of these restaurants in the Windsor/Essex area. We have been to two of them and the food was consistent in both. Hummus very good. Mujaddara was bland..Friendly helpful service. Definitely worth the visit.
