When we booked this hotel we had no idea it is owned by top Spanish Chef Javier Montero. Everything is beautifully coordinated from decoration to furniture to curtains to lighting. The staff are wonderful and the service is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Shower is so nice you could spend hours in it. Very comfortable beds and luxurious bed linen. Traditional Spanish breakfast offered but home made bread, croissants, delicious coffee and all the meats and cheeses etc. The price is incredibly cheap. Location is quiet even though it is quite close to A8 road. We are already planning another stay on our next trip to this area.

Small bar with simple and typical menu. Few small tables on the pavement. My experience was nothing special; was charged 2.5euro for small glass of rioja and 14 for racion of pulpa. Bread extra. They do give a free Pincho with your drink-e.g. small piece of tortilla. Wouldn't return

Traditional cuisine restaurant with Galician native products, fish, seafood, and selected meats among the best and always from our area. Taste of Galicia.
Hubby and I came here for our celebratory dinner. We were given a menu in English thankfully as itâs quite complex! The portions are huge, one starter between us would have been more than enough! Hubby had fois gras toasts with air dried beef - delicious. I had the fried king prawns with potatoes. I just ate the prawns, it was all too much with mountains of potatoes. Hubbyâs main course was beef âchopâ almost a kilogram of beef, beautifully tender and tasty - he had to send it back for a little more cooking, but this was done quickly and courteously. I had the duck, again, a huge portion and served very pink - but I like it like that! Sadly, I just couldnât manage it all.The bill came and I was a little disappointed to see that we had been charged for the bread that was served on arrival, and the tap water we asked for had also been charged - it may have been mineral water though! The waiter had been lovely and helpful throughout! There was also a 10% service charge added! I like to choose whether I tip, so never happy with this practice. So not a 5 rating, but almost!Dear Stirlimg;Thank you for your comment, and for the positive opinion of our work.I wanted to clarify, if you allow me, the tip.towards the end of the invoice, a summary is made of the part that belongs to the restaurant, and the 10% that is paid as a tax to the state. That 10% is already included in the prices and is not added again, it is only informative so that the client knows exactly the amount of the tax.If you did not leave coins in the account tray, there was no tip for the waiter, but we are happy because you enjoyed the dinner.thank you very much again :))

Among its facilities as well as a decoration, the hotel offers two meeting rooms, library, bar, breakfast room, dining. Outside the hotel you can enjoy a nice garden and a nice terrace where to relax, drink or just enjoy reading. The hotel has private par
Breakfast was delicious and reasonable. We wanted to dine last night but there was a discrepancy with posted and actual hours. We will try again tonight. Can not say enough about the owners of the establishment and all employees that theyâve hired over the years. We will always stay at O Cabazo. Dear DodoDidi,Thanks for taking a few minutes to write in TripAdvisor. All staff is grateful for the comment. We have reviewed the different panels and the dining room hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.It is true that there is a sign that says: the dining room is closed on Sundays after 8:00 p.m. Maybe, there has been confusion for this reason. We hope to see you again here.Regards, Juan Fco. The salpicon is out of this world and we alternate between the deliciously fresh fish and outstanding steaks. It has a beautiful view of the harbour and the service is top class. Can't wait for the summer!

We walked into a beautiful beach bar terrace with some Asian but modern deco which had beautiful chairs and benches arrange around a good looking garden unaware of what was going on in there. It was dark already, so it was hard to see the beautiful Asturias sea views, but I was assured they were right there. The menu had lots of Asian dishes so we enquired about them, apparently the main chef had gone to Asia to learn their cooking a few years back and so he had brought back his knowledge to create a wonderful fusion with their superb local produce.I think I know a little bit about fresh tuna, Iâve eaten fresh sashimi from the Tokyo docks; well, little had to envy the gorgeous tataki I ordered, it literally melted in my mouth, and its flavor blow my mind.Since it was a nice bunch of us, I was very lucky to taste a few of their dishes; every single one of them left me gob smacked, and I could not make up my mind on which one was better: a cockles delight, a big bowl of crunchy noodles, an amazing bowl of Thai rice... And donât worry if youâre not on the Asian mood, they also had a few Mediterranean/Italian dishes that looked equally brilliant; I tried a bit of a hugemangus toast of fresh vegies that put me right in the heart of Italy. We were way full with our succulent dinner but we couldnât go without tasting one of their deserts, and a beautiful cheesecake with lots of forks to share walked into our table. It had been made with some scattered bits of almond which gave it a very original and pleasant taste; it reminded me a tiny little bit to the Xmas sweet eaten all over Spain called turron, Iâm not a big fan of turron but this cheesecake was one of the best Iâve had in my live.Other than that, we were served by a very friendly and chatty waitress, which made our evening top notch. The final bill, even though we enjoyed an uncountable number of Asturias cider bottles, was way more than reasonable. If you ever end up wondering on this gorgeous land youâll probably end up failing in love, like myself, with its beauty. If you also want to pleasure your palate, make yourself a favor and do not miss this Asturias elbulli-level experience.

We popped into here while staying near by. Lovely little town and Casa del Mar sits up high on a rock side with a good view over the little port with its boats.Very clean inside and obviously specializes in tasty fish!Reasonable prices and staff friendly.

We were recommended to try this restaurant by our accommodation in Tapia, but also by another hotelier about an hours drive away where we had spent the previous night. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and is typically Spanish. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious and comparable to prices elsewhere in Northern Spain. We asked what something was that locals were eating on the bar, and were promptly included in the tasting! We were made to feel very welcome. Also, we'd been reviewing some pics on my camera and had left it on the table. The waiter politely interrupted our dinner to call us outside and view the sun setting over the port. It was absolutely beautiful, and as we were only in Tapia for 1 night, much appreciated!
