This restaurant is tiny but such a cosy warming atmosphere. You can tell it's family run. The service staff were very friendly. When you go to an Italian you except the typical, spaghetti carbonara, spag bol, pizza etc. Well not here; this was real authentic Italian food, meals you may not have tried before. As a table of four we ordered starters, mains and desserts but also soup, rum cake and a shot of limoncello for free! If you fancy something a little different in a quite relaxing atmosphere, this is the place.

We booked a table for two on a Tuesday and chose two starters and two main courses. The food was delivered without delay and was hot and delicious. My fellow diner was concerned that the main course would be a big portion and asked if the chef could serve half the lasagne initially and if he was OK the rest later. The request raised no issues and was spot on when delivered. We enjoyed the conversations with the staff, confirming the friendly atmosphere. The atmoshere was very pleasant and we thought the cost reflected the good quality food.

Came across this cafe by chance and thought we'd pop in.Great service from the young waitress.I had the gammon, son had nuggets and chips and my mother had a plain jacket potato with butter.Everyone cleared their plates.Good cup of tea and nice to have a cup and saucer.Very reasonably priced. Will visit again and highly recommend.

Found restaurant on TA, reviews all positive, walked in @6 pm,quickly seated, friendly and helpful staff.Ordered a couple of glasses of house white, olives, and prosciutto melon as entree.Mains of sardine puttanesca with salad - delicious and flavourful, with a spaghetti marinara with extra olives and capers, again delicious.Restaurant began to fill quickly, obviously popular with locals, as it is accessed up narrow and steep stairs.
