My husband, adult daughter and I went on a Friday night. I made reservations last minute, but they were only moderately busy. I had a bowl of lobster bisque, which was just all right while my daughter had the French onion, which was good. For meals, my husband had the scallops and shrimp over penne which was very good, my daughter the swordfish which also was very good. I had an artichoke appetizer for my meal, which I did not care for. When it was time to clear the table, I had only eaten a piece of one artichoke. The waiter asked if I would like them wrapped and I told him no, that was ok. He asked me if I did not like them. I responded "not so much", but felt I had just ordered wrong. When he came back with the bill, he informed us that he had taken it off the bill. Great PR as far as I'm concerned. Will definitely go back, especially since I saw they have a patio!!! I might add my vodka martini was very good as well and my daughter enjoyed her wine.

We've ordered a lot of different things off their menu and have enjoyed all. Our only disappointment is that considering it's a Greek restaurant, they don't have any Greek entrees and we love the traditional Greek dishes so wish they had them on their menu. Maybe if enough people ask, they'll add some. :)

Johnâs Cafe has been a much known staple in Woodbury for many years which has only improved with time. It is a major departure from the litany of same same restaurants on Rt. 6.In example the chickpea fries are an interesting twist on its cousin the french fry. The bucatini (pasta dish) is amazing only second to the pan roasted duck breast which is no easy task since prep and cooking of duck is a critical task to have it come out tender and not rubbery like others who attempt to make it. Johns knocks it out of the park.I will say the reservations are highly recommended and there are no issues with parking. My only issue is the interior ambience is a bit to dark and difficult to read the menu. All things considered I rate Johns with a 4.5/5For location, varied unique menu items and food quality!

Vyne is central Connecticut's dining destination. From a meal on our patio near the gorgeous waterfalls to sitting at our private chef's counter, Vyne is your place. We look forward to seeing you!
Okay, so the outside looks like a Long Island wedding factory, complete with statues, cascading waterfalls and semi-fake looking rocks. Step inside to what was once one of the most dazzling antique centers in Connecticut. The ambiance is a little flashy so step up to the NYC style bar and have a seat. Get a classic burger with the seasoned fries. Or the lamb "lollypops". Or a salad or a flatbread pizza. You won't be disappointed regardless. I got the burger, perfectly cooked, with lettuce, tomato and mayo (you dress it yourself). Nice. Check this place out...you'll love it.
