This restaurant looks more like a cafe but don't be fooled, you will get the most excellent thin authentic Italian pizza and an extensive menu besides. We go for dinner sometimes early on a Saturday evening. Very popular venue for those in the know. Two quality pizzas and a bottle of wine for under £30.00 and the service is second to none. There are always enough staff to take your order, serve and give you your bill speedily- really - no hanging about and the staff are lovely. This place is a total gem.

Located in the stunning Winter Gardens and only a stoneâs throw away from The Crucible and The Lyceum, Ego is a must visit for its Mediterranean food, pre-theatre dining and delicious cocktails. Connected to the St Paulâs Mercure Hotel, the restaurant is
My partner and I are both vegan and we had a splendid meal each. Sadly we could manage only a main course as the portions are generous. The service was good. Our table was reserved for us and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to eating there again in the near future.Hello Fiona,Thank you for sharing your great review with us, and we are so pleased that you enjoyed our Vegan menu!Yes, please do come and join us again soon..

Welcome to VeroGusto, our family-run, authentic and award-winning Italian restaurant and caffé, right in the heart of Sheffield city centre. We're passionate about great food, wine and hospitality, and so are our customers who have enjoyed our fare since
Veragusto is not a cheap Italian. It is subtly understated on first viewing form outside. Inside it is modern and refined. The menu at first glance looks familiar but, on second and third glance it has freshness nd interest and vitality. Subtle and unxpected takes on traditional Italian menus. It is not fine dining prices but you do pay more for a lovely dining experience and some great tastes form the kitchen. The wine list has an interesting range - the lowest bottle is around the £20 - an interesting Planeta form Sicily is another £10 - so not over-priced. The food was excellent - a fish nd seafood broth was beautifully prepared and tasted rich and perfectly balanced. Service was attentive and friendly without being at all fussy or over formal. I would eat here again and again.

The pub we were hoping to eat at had closed their kitchen early without telling us and so in despair we started looking for nearby restaurants on TripAdvisor. I called San Lorenzo and explained that we'd love to visit but would take us about 30 mins to get there. They kept the kitchen open for us and provided really excellent service when we arrived. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Thank you!

Kia's Pastaria is an Italian Restaurant which specialise in Pasta dishes using the finest sourced ingredients. Chef Kia freshly prepares each dish to order. Our restaurant provides a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can sit and relax with friends an
Given the number of "Excellent" reviews that Kia's Pastaria has received, I was expecting a very special dining experience when I visited the establishment with my wife yesterday evening. It was our first visit. The service was excellent - helpful, friendly and attentive. As it was my birthday, we went for three courses with alcoholic beverages too. The starters were substantial. I ordered the meatballs and my wife ordered the risotto balls. They both came with a rich tomato-based sauces and both were filling - perhaps too filling. For the main course we both ordered pasta dishes. The beef pasta special included soft chunks of meat in a rich tomatoey sauce which seemed identical to the sauce we had had with our starters. I felt there was not enough penne in the mixture - too much meat and sauce. In contrast, the fettuccine pollo e pancetta was nicely balanced. For dessert we chose posset de limoncello. Small tubs with a couple of berries on top. Quite expensive at £5.95 each and there was a distinct flavour of tinned evaporated milk in there. Please don't get me wrong. The meal was good but for us it somehow lacked the "wow" factor we had been expecting. KIa's is definitely better than okay but five stars? Not in our judgement.

Located on West street, Sheffield, Mount Lebanon is a purveyor of fine Lebanese dining from the esteemed Chef Sizar Al-Andari. Mount lebanon opened in May 2017 and is located in the prime location on West Street. Since then, the friendliest Chef in town,

Authentic, home-made Moroccan & Mediterranean cuisine. Full bar service in ground floor restaurant with a range of Moroccan & international wines available by the glass/bottle also spirits, Draught Peroni, Otto's Gin menu. You may bring your own wine Tues
Food was excellent, I had the Lamb Tagine which was so tasty with loads of different flavors and Nice sticky toffee pudding for Afters. Would recommend this restaurant for large groups, families or just a couple. Only downside was the maitradee who was Abit abrupt when we turned up as a 2 instead of a 4 due to friends having to cancel at the last minute. Definitely visit again.Dear Adrian DThank you for your positive review about your visit to Ottoâs. It is much appreciated. We do have to manage our limited space very carefully at busy times and knowing in advance about changes to bookings even a few minutes before your arrival can make all the difference to us. We always prefer to offer spare tables to late bookings rather than leave them empty. Thatâs the only way to pay our bills. I hope you will appreciate that independent restaurants are run on ever tighter margins. A quick call however late to advise of a change in number to your booking can seem unnecessary but it is actually a great help. I hope we will see you again soon at Ottoâs. Best wishes Theresa and Otto

Friendly welcome, very delicious food. We were a party of 6 ladies and shared 2 of the fish stew bowls, which were packed with different fish/seafood and utterly delicious. The hanging kebab was excellent and we all said we would return.

Welcome to OLIVE... â ... a new Mediterranean restaurant on Ecclesall road, close to Endcliffe park, Sheffield. We are a family run restaurant where delicious, freshly prepared food, and friendly service are at the heart of everything we do. The owners ar
This restaurant gets good reviews and was full on a wet Thursday evening, so they must be doing something right.I thought the meal was about average - and what I would call, perhaps a little unkindly, 'faux Mediterranean' . The menu failed to inspire and a tad overpriced for what it is - for example £21+ for Boeuf Bourguignon seems to be pushing it a bit.Dinner for 2 and a couple of drinks came out at about £80 - quite enough.Hello It is disappointing to read that you didn't enjoy your visit as much as we would have liked last Thursday evening. We know we can't please every one, and the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing. However, for the people reading your review I have to point out that your comments are misleading and lack any real explanation. For a start, you missed out the fact that the 'couple of drinks' you had was in fact a £30 bottle of wine that you chose from our menu. Totalling almost half of of your bill. We do have wine at half that price. In total you had two starters, two main course dishes, a £30 bottle of wine and two coffees. It is interesting how some people think very little of the money they spend on alcohol yet criticise the cost of the food they eat, when this is where the hard work and passion is put into. The Boeuf Bourguignon dish that you choose from our specials on Thursday evening was made from scratch. The meat alone in that dish after cleaning and cutting costs us just over £5 per portion, after which it's marinated overnight in a full bodied red wine. The next day the meat is seared and braised for 4 and a half hours. Before serving the dish, wild mushrooms and smoked pancetta are added increasing the cost to us further. Not to mention the vegetables and fries served alongside it. The little profit that is made becomes even smaller after we pay the rent in order to roof you, the insurance to keep you and our staff protected, credit card rental and transaction fees. The music license, the gas and electric used to cook, keep you warm on our typically British rainy evenings and to perfectly light your evening. Onto the chefs who create the magic, the pot washer who works tirelessly to keep everything gleaming, the water you drink and we cook with, the plates your food is loving plated onto, the waiting staff who bring the finished product to your table...I really could go on but I think you can understand that the costs involved in running a restaurant are very high, especially for a small independent businesses like ours and others operating in the location we do. Our menu is very varied price wise, there is something for everyone, the same goes for our wine/drinks list. So why you would chose some of our most expensive dishes and wine only to complain about the cost later begs the question why? Let's move onto your knowingly 'unkind' comment stating we are a 'faux Mediterranean' Given your lack of explanation or reasoning we are left perplexed as to why you would write such a thing. Had you of asked any one of our staff members about us on the evening you could have learnt we are family run, and the owners are Moroccan. Our menu comprises of mainly Italian dishes because this is what are our chefs have a passion for cooking after living in Italy for many years. However, we also have Moroccan and french dishes Inspired by their roots. Their limitations do not stop there and they have a wealth of knowledge of other Mediterranean and non Mediterranean cuisine. We don't restrict ourselves, and if the chefs feel like cooking something it will go on our specials board regardless of its origin. We are not a chain, we are a family, and when you come to dine with us you will experience things that we love to eat ourselves and want others to experience. So what exactly are we being accused of faking? Perhaps you didn't know that Morocco and other North African countries are in the Mediterranean? Other than lacking being situated on a coastline in 30 degree sunshine we are a Mediterranean restaurant with experienced chefs cooking cuisines they love. I wish you well on your journey to finding a more authentic Mediterranean restaurant than us in sunny Sheffield Kind Regards Freya
