My friend and I rode our motorcycles all day and stopped at the hotel for the evening to find a wonderful restaurant on site with a beautiful pool, patio and well-kept grounds. We will return for a second ride this coming weekend with a group. Thank you for taking care of all our needs. The food was good, service was excellent, the staff was very hospitality, the atmosphere was very comfortable, very thing was exceptionally clean.

Found this by chance and had a great meal for a very reasonable price the service was efficient and informal and very friendly . The main waiter a slightly older guy was especially pleasant The menu was fairly extensive not just pizza . We ate here twice and enjoyed both occasions .

Ristro was born from the idea of ââcombining two names: restaurant and bistro (or bistro). The intention is to let the flavors of the traditional cuisine of the common "restaurant" leak together with the innovative and eviscerated French "bistro". The sou

An absolutely superb restaurant serving the finest Italian food. The mixed starter was one of the best selection of tastes I've ever had and the mixed fish main was cooked to perfection. The owner and team were extremely attentive and very welcoming throughout. I highly recommend this restaurant.

For me this is what makes eating out in Italy so great. It's not a pretentious restaurant, it's not adventurous, it's not a Michelin masterpiece. But what it is; a family-run place, it feels like they've been here for generations, serving all the local specialities made in a time-honoured way, they simply do what they do very very well. The antipasti della casa are a true delight; a meal onto themselves, a feast of excess, all great flavours, all the local treats you could expect in a Calabrian seaside town. The rest of the menu was excellent too.....effortlessly good. Top that with some great local wine and our sunday-lunch was perfect.......and we were off for a much-needed rest on the beach!

Il ristorante ancora , da sempre simbolo del mangiar bene , la sua location , direttamente sul mare rende l'eccellenza dei suoi piatti abbinati ad un panorama mozza fiato uno dei ristoranti piu belli della costa.
This beautiful restaurant is centrally located with gorgeous ocean views. The food is outstanding, the fresh seafood was skilfully prepared. The portions are huge and the prices reasonable. The staff is very friendly and attentive, they treat you like a celebrity. I have to mention Nello who went out of his way to accommodate any requests. Grazie Nello dalle due ragazze del tavolo con vista.

It's so unusual to find a place where you can relax yourself in August in Scalea, it's crowded every where, however we were sure to find a nice atmosphere in this restaurant we usually go during the summer. The location is stylish and the atmosphere always lively, the service fast and nice. The food is always fresh, both fish and meat, I love the dessert most of all because they are based on the Calabria tradition. We spent a lovely night, thanks.Grazie :)

Lovely, lovely restaurant. Wonderful food, great prices and wonderful hostess in Antonella who remembers you and what you like to eat and drink! The setting is romantic, exotic and equally wonderful for lunch or dinner. The antipasta of fish is particularly spectacular! and the desserts......

Nestling in the hills above Scalea, La Rondinella is an agri-tourism restaurant that showcases the best of the local produce - their own smallholding included. It's a little hard to find, but worth the effort. It's immaculately clean. Staff are friendly, and the aimiable Italian chef also speaks English and German. There is one (unseen) set menu each day, which ranges from â¬18 pp to â¬30 pp, depending on what dishes and drinks are consumed. If you are a picky eater, this is probably not going to suit you. For a real "foodie", however, it's great to sit back, menu-less, and just experiment with dish after dish as it arrives. Our starters ran to almost a dozen little plates, which included locally-sourced olives, goat cheese, bread, snails, ham, salami, potatoes, tomatoes, and greens. My favourite was a firey red tapenade on homemade bread. Everything was beautifully cooked, and so fresh that it zinged with taste. Rustic fare, but excellent. We were extremely full after the starters, and had trouble choosing between the two pasta dishes on offer as "first main course". Chef solved this by serving small portions of both! After that, we seriously couldn't manage "second main course", and we also declined dessert. The waiter seemed a little crestfallen, so I relented, and said that we might be able to manage dessert, but only if it were very tiny. He was back a few minutes later, smiling happily, and bearing a big plate containg no less than eight desserts - all of them very tiny.At the end of the night, stuffed to bursting with high-quality local produce, we were surprised to find that the bill only came to â¬45 for the two of us. Fair enough, we're tee-total, so we stuck to fizzy water all night; but for the elegant surroundings, the quality of food, the efficiency and friendliness of service and (let's face it) the sheer volume of what we ate, this was an absolute bargain. We'll definitely be going back!

Atmospheric place, good, interesting food (not the usual tourist fare) good prices. They encourage you to share an antipasti if you like. The antipasti is like a mini buffet; it contained things that I had no idea what they were, but it was delicious! It's busy and the staff work hard, so best to book a table. There's one problem, they keep you waiting a long time for your bill (and there are people queuing outside to come in). One diner became a bit angry and stood up and insisted on paying at that moment at the till. The staff should understand that some diners may have an appointment like a bus to catch, or may have chronic pain (like me) so don't want to be kept sitting in a chair with limited room for 2 hours.
