The place is comfortable and it's nice to stay with friends. Food is a quite traditional and of good quality. The location is nice, wood and stone everywhere and space outside for children.

The location near the charming centre of Ruvo and the premises themselves dug into ancient walls and formed of adjoining brick arches leading finally to the wine cellar which the owner proudly displays to guests, are a fitting backdrop to the superb quality, variety and value of the fare on offer. Dining here is a memorable experience that should not be missed. We had no hesitation in going back for a second visit. The antipasti - a stunningly imaginative and copious variety of both cold and hot dishes - make a meal in themselves, but skip lunch so you can try the degustazione menu and sample the main dishes and desserts as well. The wine list is extensive, the prices moderate. Friendly service, fantastic value.

Being from New York, we thought we knew pizza, but this was the best we've had in years. Thin crust, local ingredients and a short but excellent list of local wines. A good find!

A young couple started since one Year this restaurant a 5 min walk out of the centre.Using regional products the chef presents us a delicious antipasta: anchovis with vegetable sauce, and a fish carpacco 2 different fish slices.The primi plati we had a beautiful spaghetti specialty of the chef and a origineel and tasteful bean and lins recept. This with a Nice house white wine.The dolgi was a special chocolat and of course tiramisu with pistache nuts.We can advice this restaurant very much to everybody.

We jump over for lunch , it was the only open resturant we found at Ruvo . The owner proposed us his local food , the antipasti was great and the special chicory soup with the smash bean was nice , typical tasty local Puglia food .Service was good and we felt like at home eating at the family kitchen Nice experience for our first lunch at Puglia Thank you for your recention to my Location.I hope to See more again for Next yearMany kisses Giacomo Sesto Senso

There was a time when every French town boasted many really good restaurants but those days seem to have disappeared and that accolade has fallen to the Italians. La Chicca is an unprepossessing restaurant close to the Cathedral but one which sells excellent food. It is not particularly smart or adventurous but we enjoyed an excellent lunch. It was clear that the meal was made from great ingredients and cooked by someone that cared. Plus the bill was extremely reasonable. Bingo! What's not to like!

Lovely decorations, nice cosy atmosphere and then came the food. Perfectly cooked Scampi with pesto and a liquorice dust and then Risotto and Pasta which were both delicious. It might have been just a quick lunch, but this place has huge potential for brilliant food
