Ok to start with we are vegetarian and living in Abruzzo it can be difficult finding good veggie food in restaurants. We were here out of season, early November with no snow in a ski resort... This small unattractive place (from the outside) had no one else there apart from what we guess were family who eat there regular... The place is quaint and your typical family run restaurant, no plush surroundings and very tight together tables (very few). At first we thought it looked a bit shabby and the tables not cleared, that was until we sat down and realised it was decorative farro grains on the table and not bits of food!The family running the place (mum, son and we think daughter) were a bit bemused at customers this time of year and of course the request for vegetarian, they looked rather worried to boot at the latter.. .Oh and of course English with "poco" Italian. Still they were very, very friendly and helpful. We were served with bread in a basket and a plate of warm garlic bread, which was obviously with quality olive oil by the taste. A hand written menu in English was produced, but none for wine, not a problem as we know what we like and they were happy to show us what was available. We rarely have other than a main course and a side dish or 2, but here we had a starter, down as "Vegetable gratings", but turned out to be (as we had hoped) grilled vegetables. This was a lovely mix of very thin sliced aubergine, squash, courgette and peppers with a drizzle of oil and sprinkle of herbs, it was superb! We had tagliatelle with porcini and farro risotto also with porcini for mains and both were excellent and very good portions and good deal of what seem to us fresh porcini mushrooms. Perhaps not a place for everyone, but well worth a try. It was also such good value for money, especially in a ski resort, albeit a little way out of town (well worth the walk).

We have been there yesterday. The food is excellent and really good price. The owner is really thoughtful and checks on you every time you taste a new dish. The waiter is prepared on each ingredient and the history of the Villa is amusing. Thank you!

We arrived late for lunch on Sunday after hiking in the beautiful hills nearby. We also had 2 dogs with us but were given a warm welcome by the front of house team. The menu is small but I prefer it that way and we chose to have 2 antipasti and 2 primi. Each dish was incredibly tasty and well presented with the major highlight being the polpette di bollito which were exceptional. The bread was absolutely delicious and is made with the 'mother yeast' from the 3 Michelin starred Reale.The wine list, again is short, but all the wines are local and the price is good for a restaurant of this quality.The team at Spazio are young and only just starting their journey but they were professional, knowledgeable and spent a long time with us explaining the philosophy behind the restaurant and how the dishes were prepared.Thank you for making us so welcome and we look forward to returning soon.

Very small place where the owner and his wife do it all. He recited to us what his wife was making for that night. The wine comes in a pitcher and was pleasant if not complex. The mushrooms were fresh and fabulous on pasta. Polenta was also great. Informal atmosphere with good food.

An absolutely magnificent feast for lunch, delivered with great charm at a very reasonable prices. We've eaten many fine meals over many years in many regions of Italy and this was unequivocally one of the very best. Exceptional quality of antipasti, even by comparison with the many other fine restaurants in this region, and even more exceptional quality in the pasta dishes, accompanied by a very fine wine suggested by our gracious host.

Small, inviting and very good. The exceptional service was outdone by the food. The owner visits frequently and remarks that you better finish everything he presents at your table. "Il dolce" the sweets or desserts are wonderful, after a brief stroll through the mountain town, dine here, you won't be disappointed.

Our friends took us to this ristorante, promising us a great meal. From start to a very full finish, it was delicious! Their polenta was amazing, and everyone enjoyed their freshly prepared entrees. I highly recommend making a reservation, as it is evidently very popular with the locals!
