My husband, thank goodness, is a great researcher, and always seems to find these great restaurants and places to stay. We were not disappointed by the dinner we had at Borgomela. Family owned, we were immediately greeted by the proprietess. She and her great staff were able to guide us in having one of the best dinners on our visit to Umbria. If you want traditional Umbrian cuisine, this is the place to dine.Be forewarned; it is down a graveled road, and can be somewhat difficult to find. easy to miss the turn off, so pay attention!

We booked lunch for nine of us; online booking was easy and very efficient. Finding the Relais wasn't so easy (ignore Google maps and follow the brown road signs to the Relais instead) but once discovered, the situation is pleasant with some good views, despite being near Perugia Airport. We had a drink overlooking a pretty swimming pool and garden and ate inside where the waiter was attentive and helpful. Food was a little slow in coming but good and beautifully served. It was quite expensive - the bill came as a total without any breakdown of different courses, wine etc. That should be changed.

Our Restaurant proposes a rich menu and abundant dishes influenced by traditional Umbrian cuisine. Fresh homemade pasta, meat bought from farmers in the area or raised directly by us, vegetables grown on our land and numerous sweets. Our Chefs never get t
Similar priced menu options are available in Perugia so a drive out to this Trattoria could be something to think twice about. Don't be mistaken by other reviews and expect more then 1 free course. The tasting menu at â¬30 p/person includes the mixed cheese and cold meats platter and offers 3 main course options. The complimentary potato soup was good and the house wine was good as well, as we had read on Tripadvisor. A main course or 'secondi' comes with cooked vegetables and everything arrives on one plate. Portions are generous. We enjoyed our meal but I was not blown away!Dear Customerthank you very much for your review .Please come soon for another evening together so we would fully satisfy you .Thanks and best regards.

The Osteria del Bosco was recommended to us by our hotel's desk clerk. Another guest, an Italian businessman, immediately seconded the recommendation and enumerated his favorite meals at the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted as if we were neighbors and promptly given a full rundown on the menu by our friendly host. We asked him for recommendations and he made suggestions for each course that turned out to be ideal. His house wine suggestion for our meal was a dry white from Orvieto that was spot on. Deserts were delicious, but he had run out of one that his mother had made. While the exterior is rustic, the interior decor is crisp and modern with the opportunity to watch the grilling of meats on an open wood fire. Everything was so good that we made a trek to visit the winery which produced the house wine and came back for dinner the next evening.

An old farmhouse at your disposal for an intense and satisfying dip in the nature of Umbria, to enjoy an important event or a delicious evening with friends. Young and highly professional staff welcomes its customers in a friendly environment, offering wi
My fiance' and I, and my Italian father and his wife ate at La Locanda dei Golosi twice in the space of a week, as were staying in a B&B elsewhere in Bosco. The first time was good enough, though service was slow and my fiance' found the pizza he ordered, a calzone, was doughy. Still, we visited again two or three evenings later, mainly because we hadn't found other places in that particular area and because we decided to give it another go.This time sadly the service was worse. I can't necessarily blame all the waiters because it was incredibly busy, as they had another buffet-style event taking place in a larger room on the premises. But moods were pretty foul with staff were storming off in frustration, and we had to wait a long time again to be served. In one particular instance, I was shocked one waiter had the audacity to repeat a menu option veeeeery slowly, almost pausing on every letter, to my father who simply hadn't heard due to the noise. It was rude, it even sounded rude and it was simply patronising. I would have complaint but I tried to swallow it, if only not to cause further embarrassment to my father and his wife.Food was average the second time around, although we were brought the exact same toppings we had seen on our starters the first night we went, but this time used on something else altogether. It didn't exactly give the impression of being fresh food.Overall, it was hit-and-miss but we wouldn't have gone back the second time. Shame because the setting looks nice.

Ancient Medioeval Villa where to taste best umbrian wines and food. Magic atmosphere a pat in the past. Beautiful italian dehore.
We were recommended this restaurant by the people who owned the apartment we were staying in, who visit regularly. The building has been owned by the same family for over 500 years and is untouched by today's world; the son is now the welcoming and charming manager (his mother, who is in her 80's, makes all the desserts) took us to a nook where a log fire was burning and gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco and told us about the family history. The food was very Italian and traditional with a modern feel. Our wine was rich and red, of course! My dessert was gorgeous! There was a large group visiting and so a band were playing after dinner - Sicilian music with Sicilian dancing so the atmosphere was lively - we even danced ourselves! A very authentic and dynamic evening; I would love to go back!

This small restaurant is not particularly inviting, set on the main road from Ponte Pattoli to the motorway and not much has been done to make it confortable inside or in the drafty conservatory. Cordialmente.Flavio Mencaroni

A really nice evening with a great garden for kids to play in. The buildings and gardens were fantastically tended to. The service was great and very attentive. The antipasti was good, but not amazing, but our mains and desserts were very good. Very easy to drive straight past as the sign is a little faded. Despite having numerous tables, you will need to book as it gets packed out. A really good night, reasonable prices and well worth it. Our waitress was lovely.

Un ristorante storico elegante ma sportivo che permette servizi di alta qualità in un'ambientazione di pregio, mantendendo un rapporto con i Nostri amici, professionalmente confidenziale.
Five of us had dinner here, and it was a nice experience. The restaurant is in an historic building. Spacing between tables is wide making for good conversation and low noise level. Our group split as to the entrees, with several people ordering the pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and others going with the roasted suckling pig. Both were good, but the pig was the favorite with moist meat and crispy skin.We were split again for desserts with some ordering the nougat semi-freddo, and others the dark chocolate brownie. Again, we shared and agreed all were very good and probably the best part of the dinner. The house wines were good and a great value. At the end of the night we agreed that it was a good dinner, but not the five star experience the reviews had us hoping for.
