Fast paced, hand to hand encounters, one hour after the other we'd like to think that there exists a place, in the heart of Cagliari, that is capable of giving excellent service and nurturing delicious food for the heart and soul. An environment that does
This could have been fantastic, the menu looked amazing. A full range of gluten free options with an imaginative array of dishes. We were welcomed with a complimentary shot of cocoanut milk, which was lovely...but it all went wrong from here on in. There were two waiting staff and in the clearly visible open kitchen three people. It took 10 minutes for our order to be taken, we were not given a drinks menu and despite clearly ordering solely gluten free options we were presented with a wheat filled basket of bread?!The starters arrived and were ok, flavourless polenta with a few splashes of sauce and beetroot ravioli...this was just slices of beetroot folded over some kind of bland white filling. We then had to wait over an hour for our main course, the restaurant by this time had filled to capacity approx 40 covers. We could see that the kitchen staff were processing one dish at a time, it was torture and we were by this time very hungry. The waiting staff were too busy taking orders of new clients to come and check if we were ok, so I was unable to return the bread or order a glass of wine. Finally our main course arrived, flavourless grey risotto with sweet onion sauce, it literally tasted like vomit and tempura vegetables, a paltry 10 pieces of unidentifiable vegetable and apple (?) in soggy tempura. So disappointing and even though we were famished by this point we couldn't stomach it.An expensive waste of time. Literally, in fancy surroundings Avoid!!!

After a full day on the boat in Palau and La Maddalena, we were desperate to find something other than pizza. The staff were most accommodating and allowed beach dressed and slightly disheveled visitors take a table of our choosing. The food was really good. House wine (red Cannanau) was fantastic. We ended a great day with a great meal and lots of laughs. Host and hostess were awesome.

After a string of misses, we finally had a winner with Da Giovannino. We celebrated a milestone birthday with them and they really delivered on food, service and experience. We had a great big table. The food and wine were very good (salt baked fish!) The service attentive and warm. And the best was they went out to a gelateria to buy a birthday cake for my birthday and did a great job of surprising me with it. Itâs a pretty and warm restaurant in the cute town of Porto Rotondo. Big fan.

This place was a hidden gem, although it was a scary drive to get to the restaurant off the beaten track! The setting for this outdoor restaurant was amazing once we had arrived, you must visit to appreciate the ambience, although it is only open during the summer months. There were two menus, an a la Carte and a set menu. We decided to order from the a la Carte menu. There was a lot of choice and it was different to typical restaurants, I had a lamb ravioli, and all reasonably priced. They were also kind enough to make a toddler portion of spaghetti which obviously wasnât on the menu.Whilst waiting for our food, we also received cheese and grapes which arrived on a stone platter, which fitted in perfectly with the surroundings. All the food ordered was presented and tasted great. Definately looks more expensive than the bill came to. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a wonderful restaurant and beautiful view of the marina. I went here with my girlfriend on our last night in Sardinia, and the whole experience was incredible. The ambience was delightful, and the waitress was very warm and welcoming. This restaurant specialises in fresh seafood, which, due to its location on the marina, is very nice. We had a local fish soup for starter and the octopus salad, both of which were delicious, and the fish was fresh. We then had the fresh prawn and tomato linguine, and fresh tuna spaghetti, both full of flavour. We finished off with the wonderful seadas (local delicacy), and homemade gelato! We went at the end of September so slightly out of season so it was not busy at all. However, this did not by any means affect our experience at this wonderful restaurant.

After few bad experiences with some of the most renowned restaurants of the Smeralda Coast, we tried this family run restaurant located along the way to Marinella Gulf in Porto Rotondo. It was one of the best experience of our holidays. The owner surprised us with amazingly fresh seafood dishes prepared according the traditional Sardinia recipes. Quality of the food and courtesy of the staff were impeccable. Definitely a must if you are in Porto Rotondo.

Top reviews but not sure why!! Small portions, silly prices and ended up coming home to eat as we where starving after a â¬100 bill. The waiting staff are friendly and accommodating but the boss is not able to crack a smile. She opened our wine but could not be bothered to even say hi. Avoid!!

I dined at Rosa dei Venti over the weekend and had one of the best meals I can remember. The service was impeccable...so friendly, great recommendations, a truly personal touch. The food was superb! The combination of flavors was amazing and all handmade. This was delicious Sardinian Italian with a spectacular chef in the kitchen and a great team. I could tell it was a family run business. They take pride in their work. They server everything from pizza to pasta to seafood to steak. I give this a 100% A+ recommendation!!

We had their good house wine, white. Octopus, which was fried and with pumpkin sauce, very yummy, burrata with raw crayfish, delicious, and then two pizzas. The two first dishes were a little pricy but good, and the pizzas delicious and at a very reasonable price, â¬7 or so.The terrace is comfortable, but be careful with the mosquitoes.

In a grove of ancient olive trees and junipers, the lu stazzu restaurant will delight you with Sardinian specialties, homemade cured meats and homemade pasta with wild boar sauce and clams with clams, from busa to campidanese to beans and mussels . For a
