The food, the service, spot on.This restaurant is hidden in the Galleria Cavalieri Ordine Vittorio Veneto in pogbionsi. This has to be the dining experience in Italy for me. The food was exquisite and service was exceptional.you have to try the highly recommended squid ink risotto. Italy generally has been a let down in terms of service. But this culinary experience exceeded all my expectations.kudos to the chef( who made time to come by the table and say hello) and the management team.

We had time to kill after catching a train and this osteria was busy with local people. After a few highly trip advisor rated tourist trap disappointments in Italy we decided to follow our eyes and noses. This place was packed with local people and the smells were amazing. The waitresses and waiters were lovely. The pizza was excellent as was the tuna pasta. Coffee was great and the whole thing cost less than 40euro. Go here if you are in Poggibonsi.

This restaurant is part of the Fattoria di Cinciano hamlet complex that includes accommodation, the restaurant, a church plus a winery. The Fattoria is located in the hills above Poggibonsi, about four kilometres from the Poggibonsi North exit on the Florence to Siena Road. The last three kilometres are on a very winding, uphill, narrow and gravel road that takes you to the parking area for the Fattoria. The views of the surrounding countryside from the Fattoria, which we spent some time walking around, are superb though we sat inside in the restaurant. The restaurant had a 4 course degustation menu for Euro 38 per person which is extremely good value. As the starter we had the beef tartare and the cod. Primi was a risotto followed by pork. Dessert was yoghurt and mango. All of the dishes were very tasty. The only wines on the menu were the Fattoria's own bottles. We had a very good 2014 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione for Eur 29.With coffee, mineral water and service charge the bill was only EUR110 for the 2 of us. Excellent value.Service was very friendly and efficient.Perhaps the only downside to this restaurant was the road up to it. We went for lunch and it was OK but I certainly would not like to be driving down it at night.

Quaint Tuscan restaurant offering cuisine with typical Tuscan plates, pizza cooked in a wood oven and gourmet pizza white.
Went there with a family of 4, with one vegan in the party. They served excellent pizzas, and for desert they made a sweet pizza for the vegan person. Excellent choice and it tasted really good. They only have servings inside, but we did not miss the outside atmosphere. Also remember to book table in advance - we did it via messenger.

We've been to Poggibonsi for dinner. Located near the station, this restaurant is run by a young architect (Luca), that make us feel at home. We found a table for 13 persons around 22:00 and he was immediately shown nice and welcoming. Without looking at the menu we left him advise his typical appetizer. Everything was perfect, classic dishes and revisited dishes. We tasted two first dishes too, "pici" and "ravioli", both with gourmet sauces. Finally we closed with some desserts, and of course none of us was disappointed. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, I hope we will return in the coming days. There are two diamonds to see, the first is the restaurant itself with his entire staff, and the second is the owner. Magic!

This was lovely setting but mistakes were made with orders. Had to ask what we had ordered. My steak was cold bits of gristle as well as uninteresting as it was meat, rocket and pecorino slices on top of the meat. We got the feeling that if you ordered a bottle of wine you were treated differently . The majority of people eating were guests of the hotel. When we checked the bill we had been over-charged for three glasses of wine and not the spritzer we had ordered. Overall it was a pleasant meal but nothing to write home about.

Chef Enrico Orlandini (son of Marcello),Marcello is a poet as well as archivist of traditional Tuscan cuisine. He has written a Tuscan cookbook in the old tradition. The restaurant is small but the food fresh and authentic and iris inexpensive.
It is certainly worth while to reserve a table for an evening meal.Food was very good, weâve eaten 'fiorentina'. Slightly expensive wine. Charming wall decoration made by guests from all over a world - gives you an idea of lasting impression. I recommend.

My husband and I visited San Gimignano for the first time and for one night only - this was a perfect restaurant selection... we enjoyed veal appetizer, lasagne, wild boar and traditional vegetable/bread dish ... atmosphere was beautiful and Andre our waiter was very helpful . Unfortunately we were too late to get a table outside but inside was very nice also - local Chianti was excellent - recommend this restaurant !

The restaurant itself is a little odd but we chose to sit outside around the back of the restaurant. The garden is beautiful with flowers and a canopy and we have a beautiful view of the setting sun. The staff were all very pleasant. Unfortunateky the food was rather odd. Odd combinations of pastries and sauces with overly elaborate garnishes. I think it was mostly reheated and it lacked much flavour. I asked for gluten free options (using language cards to make sure I was totally understood) and was recommended the asparagus gratin. This turned out to be asparagus topped with melted cheese. Not a very nice meal but lovely place to go and sit with drinks.
