Visited on our return to Plasencia and looked forward to this bar drinks and tapas. But there was a staff member with an aggressive manner throwing plates into sink breaking and spilling red wine over shirt and trousers of customer.Having altercation with other staff.Left not to return.

The restaurant is in a quiet Calle off the main square. It feels like you are entering a family home but the actual restaurant offers plenty of space and loads of knickknacks, including the first working cuckoo clock I have seen in a long time! The waitress was extremely friendly and we even managed to have some sort of conversation although she spoke only Spanish and I don't speak any. We had gambas a la plancha and they were super . The postres, sweets were home-made and the bill was quite reasonable. Oh by the way, it is a proper restaurant and not a tapas bar. Recommended

Restaurante y taperia en el centro de la ciudad de Plasencia. Dentro del casco antiguo Restaurant and tapas in the center of the city of Plasencia. Inside the Old Town
This little restaurant is classy and serves up beautiful food. The salad was the best we had in two weeks Sapin by far - unusual ingredients prefectly corresponding with each other and a nice fresh dressing. So good after after all these Tapas since weeks! The Merluza was also lovely with some Quinoa, Asparagus and Zucchini stripes. We can vouch for the white wine "Enate Gewürztraminer" with our meal - very nice! We also saw "Hable del Silencio" on the table beside us. Good value for money we think and service is prompt. What a find!! :-)

Tentempie isam at the 2nd place these days and do believe it will get the first one.Everything is well balance at this tapas bar and they excel in some areas.Location (right on the city center), the ambience, the decoration, the service,..All is more than ok...and then the food: all tapas are delicious! We took 8 different tapas and I can not tell you which one was best. It is true that their awarded "retinta" miniburguer is gorgeous, but all remaining tapas are extremely good.I like also their approach: they stick to gourmet tapas only, sime with oriental style. All together at a reasonable price.Good job!Illustration: hamburguesita a la retinta for 4,5â¬Labels: $. 2eat, #tapas, #mustgo

We so wanted the food to be great because we loved the parador so much, but it wasn't. The menu looked really interesting, the attentive service when we arrived, all so promising, and then the food started coming. Suckling pig saam: bland, uncrunchy. Pickled partridge taco: taco doughy. Cheese souffle : too heavy. Mango salmoreja : like blancmange, needed lime to cut it. Pigeon in a very gummy chestnut sauce. Baked Alaska : meringue not even slightly seared or crisp. Please throw away that packet of cornflour.

Had supper here on three occasions. The first two were good experiences. [See my glowing review of 28th Dec '16]. This visit was upsetting. The offer had changed. Old favourites which remained on the 'carte' - were the same in name only with changed ingredients and results. One dish - Huevos a Bajo Tepmeratura was so unpleasant we were unable to finish it. [Apparently the eggs [egg!] was served on a bed of 'espuma de patatas' - in reality it was an unbearably salty white liquid. Another dish Presa Iberica was served on a puddle of the same over-salted liquid. The choice of desserts - rice pudding, apple tart and crepes were all unsuitably heavy for a hot summer evening. The portions were not generous - acceptable if the quality is good - unforgivable in an offering of below average quality. Our criticisms were received with a smile - and totally ignored. Change for the worse I'm afraid. 75 euros for a spoiled evening. We won't be rushing back.Estimated client, thank you very much for sharing his experience with us. We sorry that in this occasion his experience has not been completely pleasing. We trust fully in our good way of working and in all the changes that we are carrying out in the new menú . To say you that the liquid to which you refer is a thin and creamy partmentier whit out a high of flavor and that the contrast with a medallion of foie of boletus mushroom grilled and the duxele of this plate give a gustatory delight . But we will bear all the critiques in mind and we hope that you turn us and giving us a new opportunity and this time his experience is completely satisfactory . So that we will work to achieve it. A cordial greeting.
