This restaurant is set away from the road outside the town of Montegabbione and also has accommodation there. The location overlooks the valley above which the town stands. The restaurant itself has terraces outside (it was raining when we went so we were indoors) and the inside is wooden panelled.Service was excellent even though the evening proved to be very busy with parties of locals arriving. Probably best booking in advance.Lots of local wines on offer and the food is good. I was actually wanting something other than meat on this occasion and perhaps went for too much shellfish (mussels and then tagliatelle with clams - these dishes were a little too salty for my taste). my other half had an excellent courgette flan and prosciutto.Overall a very good and enjoyable meal.

Organic Food and Fusion Cousine.
Had lunch in this amazing bistrot. The space has a spectacular view of the valleys and mountains. Not only was the view spectacular but the food was as well. Would never expect delicious chicken curry in the heart of Italy. All local purveyors and excellent wine to compliment the food. The chef is fantastico!!!!

Visited a number of times during a 2 week stay and had great food each time. Fab antipasti, great selection of pastas, and another mention for the super turbot. Luca and his team were charming each time, very accommodating with a large party lunch booking, and genuinely engaging with us - especially the kids. Mostly Italian dinners too - always a good sign. Cannot recommend strongly enough.

Il Casale is situated on a hillside in the green heart of Umbria, immersed among the olive groves and oak woodland on the slopes of Mount Pausillo, looking out over the countryside around Lake Trasimeno. It is a delightful area, ideal for relaxing and enj
We had a wonderful dinner for 9 people and 2 Bambino. The service was great, responsive and helpful. The food was delicious. They brought the little ones food quickly, but we enjoyed a leisurely dinner whilst watching the sunset. Thank you Il Casale. We will be back

We are in the medieval village of Paciano, awarded by the European Union as "Ideal Village" and included in "most beautiful villages in Italy". The restaurant, recently fully renovated, has a roof garden with views of the Umbrian hills and Lake Trasimeno.
We ate on the delightful terrace three times during our holiday and we all enjoyed everything we ate. Courgette flowers stuffed with lake-fish, roast suckling pig and pigeon were among our favourites. The rose water semifreddo was exquisite! The wine list is really interesting and offers tremendous value. Service is excellent from the friendly family team. This is a place to come back to.

Eat here twice. The service is great, especially the waiter who speaks English as our Italian was non existent. The anti pasti is fantastic quality and such variety. Very authentic Umbrian food cooked with love. Every mouthful a delight. Prosecco by the glass was also good as many places only serve bottles.

This restaurant is a wonderful neighbourhood gem situated in the centre of Panicale. Some of the seating is in the Via del Filatoio but most is inside with several tables that provide a great view of Lago Trasimeno. The tasty food is simple, well prepared Umbrian fare cooked expertly by local (female) chefs who occasionally come to the tables to check on customer satisfaction. Our friends noticed the wonderful aromas drifting from the restaurant on a brief visit several days before we made reservations. We were not disappointed. The serving staff are professionals, friendly and welcoming. This fine restaurant also comes with the advantage that it is connected (across the street) with their own enocteca, which means that the wine list is extensive and stretches to the very expensive. We chose a lovely 2017 IGP soft ruby red out of nearby Poggio Bertaio (60% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet), which happened to be one of their house wines. At â¬12 a pop, it was great value and a splendid experience. After some local bread and a choice of 4 different olive oils, two of us opted for one of the day's speciality primi: pici pasta with a creamy sausage meat ragu with tartufo that was simply delicious. One of our party choice the signature guinea fowl with creamy sausage meat ragu on toasted bread, which she reported was also delicious. Two of us then chose the Cinta Senese pork steak with nicely prepared spinaci con pepe and olio and patate arosto; and all of us finished with the house tiramisu.Service was friendly, efficient and delivery of the different courses was well paced. The menu is in England as well as Italian and at least one server spoke very good English. After our almost 3-hour lunch, including 2 bottles of the splendid Poggio Bertaio Rosso, a fine time has been had by all, made even more so by our ability to cast occasional glances through the open doors to the lake and Tuscan countryside. Will we return? The answer is obvious.

I was very eager to take my friends to Bruno's as well as not having been back myself for a few years. Located on a central street of Citta' della Pieve, it offers a lovely decor and ambiance (upstairs and downstairs dining rooms), very very good service and excellent Umbrian and Tuscan dishes. The service is excellent and staff very nice and helpful. The locale was completely restructured a few years ago with great taste and also keeping the original frescos on the ceilings in the upper rooms of what was originally a medieval house.

This is a tiny restaurant run by a husband and wife team. The food is delicious- traditional dishes by served elegantly and with some wonderful specialities that I have never seen elsewhere, like the fried bread with cauliflower and cheese or the mashed potatoes with truffles. The owners are incredibly nice, and helpful, and speak good English if you need help. An absolute delight.

Eight of us went for an evening meal (booking is easy if your english they speak it well and you can text) Bright, clean pleasant atmosphere, good happy staff, food excellent. You can go for just a pizza or have a full blown meal as we did. The bill for eight adults with two courses and some deserts, four bottles of wine, beer, water and juices was just over £25.00 a head. We were not rushed and enjoyed a great evening
