We went to Trattoria dal Taio after seeing it on TripAdvisor. It's a bit out of town and tricky to book (telephone reservations only) but it was AMAZING! The food was excellent, delicious and decent portions - both starters and mains. The meat is simply amazing, as was the pasta, and it's phenomenal value. The staff were a delight and couldn't have been more charming. An FYI for travellers - taxi companies (we used Radio Taxi Verona) seem not to take reservations so just call 10 minutes before you need one. The journey was about 20 Euros from town. The restaurant booked our return trip after we'd finished supper, which was helpful. Thoroughly recommended - and book in advance, as far ahead as you can!

You walk in (better reserve your table to be sure...), you get nicely seated, your "aperitivo" gets served immediately. By the menu you choose your meal courses and wines, and the antipasto will be a taste of some of the courses you did not order (so you might want to order it next time...). The food is great, they definitely like good cooking. With the dessert you get a glass of Recioto (local precious sweet wine) which is wonderful, and some grappa with your coffee if you like.I remember one evening walking in this restaurant depressed and tired after a bad day at work, well the food, wine and atmosphere of this place did set me at peace with the world again...The owner might look a little "peculiar" but for sure he likes good food and to serve it to his customers!!!!!!!Looking forward to return!!!!

The restaurant is in the middle of the vineyards. We had dinner outside on the terrace at dusk. Peace, quiet, beauty, luxurious atmosphere.We chose the 'degustazione' menu, 4 courses matched with 5 wines of the Buglioni Bugiardo estates. Each dish was excellent, refined, nicely mixing traditional cuisine with modern creativeness. And the food-wine match really made each other shine.Service was perfectly refined but not intrusive, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to sample the region's wines, including Ripasso and Amarone, and treat yourself to a refined and romantic evening.

Knowledgable friends took us to Settimo Cielo for a different pizza experience, and we weren't disappointed. Some great unusual and well-balanced choices on the menu, as well as an interesting variety of bases. Prices are slightly up on standard - our two choices came in at 11 and 12 euro each - but the quality more than justified the price. Delicious! Go out of your way to try a pizza here.

My wife and I visit Bussolengo, Italy every summer to see our friends. We had another outstanding dinning experience at the Fucina Restaurant. We really enjoy the excellent menu choices, service and atmosphere. The owners are always present and very friendly.

30 of us descended on this lovely local restaurant for dinner one evening. They catered brilliantly for such a large group, despite the restaurant being full. Varied and extensive menu on offer with kids size portions if required. Staff were on hand, friendly and helpful. Grazie mille per le belle parole arrivederci a presto grazie di nuovo

The restaurant surroundings are not that great (in the middle of a residential area). The food and the service were perfect. great grilled meats. great location with great views. nice bbq for the meat. cool to see the process for carving the meat when t comes off the grill too. owners very nice, and seem to pride in their quality of the meat and the grilling and carving process. we enjoyed.

Excellent food, great service, outdoor and indoor seating. great wine list! We ate there twice and it was all very good. The building in which it is situated is very interesting, part of the complex of the Villa owned by the Quaranta family. Situated high above Pastrengo, this fort of a restaurant overlooks Lake Garda and wine country. The inside is stunning brick with the design coordinating off little rooms with the hall. This is a large restaurant, apt for parties or just a few people. Busy place. We had the menu di Terre. Very good, especially the raw beef. Wine menu was a bit limited. Plenty of easy parking, follow signs to restaurant when heading to Pastrengo.
