We had dinner here 2 times. The fish is excellent (do try the grilled gamba's and the calamari which is usually frozen, but not here) and relatively low prized. We also enjoyed the grilled vegetables and actually everything we ordered. Simple, pure, delicious. The waitresses are very kind and efficient. Bravo!

Traditional Greek and Cretan food made everyday with olive oil from home made meat and other materials.
We enjoyed our dinner here, sampling traditional dishes for both starters and mains. However there is stiff competition currently in the village and this taverna would struggle to make my top 5. The food was good but felt slightly under pressure to eat and leave to make way for more diners. Perhaps harsh but that is how we felt

This restaurant specialises in grilled and barbecued meat. The menu ranges from souvlaki through to tbones, steaks and plates meat for sharing. Everything we ate was tasty, tender and perfectly cooked. The setting on the seafront is a bonus. But the real clincher is that it has the loveliest staff you could hope to meet anywhere. Simply the best.

Nice location overlooking sea/rocks away from main area of restaurants.Itâs one of the bigger places and to us lacks the homely/family feel of some of the other tavernas. The food and the service are fine but prefer the atmosphere in some of the other tavernas.

Best part about this restaurant was service - willing waitress. Our appetizer (mussels) was too salty and chewy (rubbery) and therefore pizza did not taste like anything

Creta is famous for its cuisine, but Chania are really a gastronomic paradise. Grameno tavern is the proof for that; traditional cretan food and wine, in an original greek tavern ( terrace). We really enjoyed traditional salad, tsigariasto ( amazing), steak (panseta) which was great, very tasty fried meatballs (keftedakia) and delicious flowers stuffed with rice ( anthoi, traditional cretan mezes). Potatoes are not pre-fried and the white wine is very nice. We also asked for cheesepies (filled with traditional Chania cheese) with honey - as a desert- which were splendid. The staff was very fast and kind. The tavern is a great option if you go for a swim in nearby beautiful bay of Grameno.

Houmas is a restaurant with excellent greek food and good and friendly service. You can get several special dishes. All well prepared.Houmas is located in the idyllic Grammeno bay, and there is only 25 metres distance to a little sand-beach with sunbeds and sunshades and crystal-clear water. From the restaurant there is a wonderful view over the beach and the sea.We came to lunch and beach about 10 times in our Paleochora-holiday.
