Discover Restaurants offering the best Mediterranean food in Padua, Province of Padua, Italy. Known as Padova in Italian, Padua may be the oldest city in northern Italy, if you believe the claims of its 12th-century BC founding by Trojans. It certainly has history, including its famous university (one of Europe’s oldest, from 1222), the 13th-century Basilica di Sant'Antonio (resting place of St. Anthony), and Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto’s famed 14th century frescos. The magnificent Prato della Valle, a 950,000-square-foot elliptical square, is thought to be Europe’s second-biggest.

Small Family Restaurant
Two great evenings at this authentic family runned restaurant! The little gem itself is a historical place. On the walls, beautiful paintings describing the history of Padova. The family that owns and served us were kind and generous. The beautiful lady that cooked created delicious dishes for us. It was a wonderful restaurant

Been there with my old school mates a couple of days ago.The pizzas were to die for, haven't had a real pizza napoletana as for a while. The place is really cosy welcoming and vibrant as family run. We had a lovely time together with the mates, really looking forward to next time.

Il nostro è un ristorante sito nel centro storico di Padova e che offre un menù di solo pesce, colazioni, wine bar
This restaurant was amazing. The food and service were a real high point in our first trip to Italy. The staff was very warm and friendly and made us feel very much at home even though we do not speak Italian. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff seemed like they were a family. We liked it so much the first time, we went back the next day. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Came to Italy for a week and went around to major cities (Rome, Florence, Venice) and stayed in Padua for 2 nights. Went looking for restaurants, and found this hidden gem very close to our hotel. The food is absolutely amazing! Of course, Italian food is 100x better than American food, but Pizzeria da Vannia has the best pizza ever! The pizzas are cheesy, freshly made, thin, and delicious. Depending on your appetite, one pizza can be eaten alone or shared (I had to share). The staff is very friendly and kind and always working hard. The place is also very busy, which I can understand considering its food is so amazing. It was so good, we went there again for our last night in Italy! What a great way to end our trip.

We went for dinner here whilst in Padua, and were very impressed. The atmosphere in an old dining room with beautiful paintings and candlelight was sophisticated and yet relaxed. The service was friendly but effective, and the food was superb. The risotto was delicious, the beef was excellent and the desserts amazing. The wine list is comprehensive and well priced and we had fantastic good and wine. I would thoroughly revcrtbis restaurant, which deserves all the plaudits it receives.

Chiusi per ferie dal 4 al 27 agosto 2019. Vi aspettiamo dal 28 agosto per concludere con gioia un anno straordinario.
Ethic because all the revenues go to help immigrants in Italy and it is a job learning opportunity for them, ethnic because the waiters all black, quite uncommon in Padua. Good and fine local food, fine selection of DOC wines, relaxed atmosphere, thanks toCarolina and her smiling crew. Good price (@30 euro for a complete meal). The setting is appealing for nice in and outdoor eating. Just try it!

Very good pasta, nice, fresh, and hot! Very tasty selection of sauces that everyone will be satisfied with! I went to this chain in Verona as well and when I saw it here it was no question that I should eat here again!

Traditional street food in Padua's ancient square, Piazza della Frutta. Like us on fb "La Folperia
I am sooo glad we made it to La Folperia on this, our fifth visit to Padova. It feels like a well kept secret, this stall that appears late in the afternoon, serves fabulous octopus right next to a nice bar and then fades into the night when the food is finished. Well, once we had found it I made a commitment to visit every evening. Consistent, friendly and very tasty. We will be back!Dear Keke,We are really happy you enjoyed our famous Street Food and we are proud to read your wonderful words about our Service! We are waiting for you for your next visit!Best regards,Max & Barbara

Visited here on our last night, after the convention. We really loved eating here. The fish was fresh, pasta delicious and wine was perfect for every meal we ate there. The black tagliolini with clams were unforgettable and the Pinot Grigio was fabulous. Our waitress Greta was a delight too. Real nice girl, nice Pokémon!

our restaurant is located in the heart of the city of Padua and is inserted in a typical neighborhood of small restaurants and taverns, typical Venetian cuisine with refined products coming from our lands and our seas
This should be on every visitors agenda. It is superb.Firstly, itâs non fussy.Secondly, itâs local so you feel integrated. Thirdly, the food is exceptional.Welcoming without pretence; the menu is interesting, not all pasta or pizza. We chose a cheese dish, pear, gorgonzola and walnuts and some other things. It was gooey, tasty and different. We also had peppery mussels as a starter. For mains we chose a risotto, mushroom (porchini) which can be ordered asa single portion. How sensible. We also ordered a t bone ( fiorentino) whichthey said would be about a kilo. Oh yeah, we thought. It was. Tender and cooked as per requested; simply sensational, didnât need anything, seasoning, nothing. We eat risotto frequently, but this time it was a perfection, creamy, thick, all kernels cooked exactly as you hope it might be. For me, it needed more salt as I eat lots of salt, but it was probably fine as served. So so delicious, will return simply to have another.Staff were busy but considerate, smiley and not slow.Wines were as cheap as chips.Go and enjoy.
