I selected this restaurant from tripadvisor rating as I was staying in oxford with absolutely no local restaurant knowledge. First impressions were fantastic. Great greeting and rapidly shown to a nicely located table. Menu is good, especially the specials board. However, service from then on was slow and lacked attention. The staff were very nice however so it didnât impact the meal significantly. One other thing....hot meals served on cold plates is not good. As the title of this review says, good location and ambiance let down a little by attention to detail. This restaurant should be a âvery goodâ or better.

Najar's Place is a kiosk in Oxford city centre. It is exclusively a take-away place. It is always immaculate and the people working there are friendly, helpful and cheerful. If you never had a middle-eastern wrap, they will certainly have suggestions for you. I love their lamb (in different guises) and everything is fresh and crisp. We have been going to Najar's Place to buy our lunch from our University Department for a very long time. We buy their wraps at least once, more often twice, a week, whatever the weather. We love their wraps: they really do fill them up, and all with high qualty ingredients. We take them with us to our Department or outside in the sun (I am talking hypothetically here: sun in Oxford?). We believe that given the quality it offers very good value. If you want good lunch food, go there. If you are peckish in the afternoon, go there. We have found it consistently excellent.Their wraps are very seriously tasty!

Booked here on a Friday night on a weekend stay in Oxford - having googled best restaurants etc, it didnât disappoint. Chick peas, cauli, jambon iberico, crispy lamb and onion tortilla - all superb, flavourful and interesting. We finished with a custard tart and sorbet. The staff are fantastic - attentive and knowledgeable. The food is brilliant. The place is small and very buzzy - well worth a visit.

I was recommended this restaurant by a college, I was looking for a romantic, fancy place to go for a dinner date with my boyfriend. It was certainly a lovely evening: the staff were friendly and accommodating, there is an excellent choice of food and vegan menu. The food was delicious and very good value for money. Pricey wine but the bubbles were very much enjoyed! My only criticism would be that the restaurant lacked character inside (no candles or pretty things around to make it more romantic). But otherwise would recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Le Kesh takes you on a Mediterranean culinary voyage from Beirut to Marrakesh. It hosts a range of traditional dishes such as the famous Moroccan Tagines with its very own twist, which can be accompanied by a range of wines from different part of the glob
Visited this evening with friends . Chose the Le Kesh feast . Resturant was busy . Perhaps that is why the portions did not seem as generous as previous visits . Food was tasty but ...

My husband and I were in Oxford and wanted some nice food. We came across the Oxford Grill - what a beautiful hidden gem this place is. The food was fabulous. We had the set menu (there were loads of choices). However we were also given some very tasty humous and bread before our ordered food arrived - it was just lovely. The waiter was a smashing bloke with a great sense of humour and so was another chap dining in the restaurant who we got chatting to who we think was a regular. If you don't go to this restaurant it will be your loss. Thanks for a lovely meal x

"Recommended as one of the best tapas bars in Britain" (The Observer) and it's not hard to see why. Step through the door into a place somewhere between Seville and Marrakesh, and lose yourself. The attention to detail from decor to menu is outstanding! J
Recently visited with my partner. We were seated straight away drinks and food came really quick. The food was so good we ordered extra we had a good selection of bread, meat, cheese and dips. It was really hard to pick a favourite dish as they were all so good. The churros are a must try. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable.

I sat in my little mobility scooter near the front door. Sadly they donât have a toilet, though they offered to help to use Cafe Rougeâs loo.I enjoyed escargot followed by duck with cherry sauce. White burgundy to drink followed by Cote de Rhôneâs. A pleasure to be there.

Arabic Bakery & cafe providing freshly baked food and handmade sweets. Freshly prepared flatbread and main courses from the middle eastâ on the spot.
I absolutely love coming here for brunch. Above all the shakshuka (v) is exquisite: three baked eggs with yolk somehow still runny, in a rich, spicy (but not hot) sauce that definitely cannot be replicated elsewhere. You also get a handsome, freshly-baked flatbread to go with it, pickles, and a small glass of tea.I had that and an Arabic coffee, which came up to £9.99 in total. This is worth the minor trek from the city centre! I think about their food a lot.We couldn't resist taking home some of their baklava/sweets, which were similarly amazing. Their Makloubeh (upside-down lamb) is melt-in-the-mouth, flavourful, and a real treat.Generally, service has always been wonderful, with a good variety of veggie options.
