Please note I have separately reviewed the hotel accommodation at 4stars.My starter of cold cooked mackerel on a bean sauce base smelled bad and was clearly 'off'. My wife agreed and so did the manageress. The manageress apologised and substitited the dish with a tuna cerviche which was OK. The other dishes lacked flavour and my ravioli course was under-seasoned. Having an appertiser that is starting to decompose is not a pleasant way to start a meal. We did not get any other recognition of the terrible error of serving 'off' fish. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you want to risk food poisoning.

We had a chance to have dinner here with friends, a few days after the opening. The restaurant decor is contemporary, with only hints of the usual mountain features (lots of wood). The pace was very crowded, but despite this our order was taken and served within a reasonable time. We had a couple of starters, inclusive of polenta and mixed entries, served nicely. The main course was also appetising and nicely presented. My pasta was very good, and so was the hamburger, which is a specialty of the house.Only a few of remarks, to improve service: - we ordered white wine, which was served in a water cooler, but without a cloth to dry the drippy bottle;- our cutlery was not replaced, just taken away with the starters' dishes and we helped ourselves from the next table (thankfully empty) before the food from the main would get cold;- of the two desserts we selected, the tiramisu was good, but what they call "cheesecake" was an ice cream over a pancake. Not creamy at all and crumbly at all. Either change the description or serve real cheesecakeI think it was still not possible to pay with cards, but maybe I am mistake and maybe this has been fixed by now.The price was reasonable, considering the location, service and food. Would recommend but I don't need to, since all the locals (and tourists) are well aware about it ;-)

A friend of mine found this place using Tripadviser when we were looking for a place to have lunch. We had a fantastic feed at very reasonable prices and were the only non-Italian lunch diners which I think is a good indication of the quality! I had the Chateaubriand which was excellent. The Limoncello afterwards was also gratefully received!

We've just returned from Sauze and dined at the La Griglia on the 30th and 31st. We stumbled across this place on our first night - not knowing that it is one of the few remaining restaurants with a clay oven. Had we known this, we would have gone for a pizza but we didn't and I'm afraid we made the wrong choice. My partner had a steak meal and I had Gnocchi which were just OK . . . not amazing as the reviews suggested. As we'd not forward planned and booked anywhere for New Years Eve, we decided to try our luck here. It was a set menu of 6 courses for 60 Euros. Our table was booked for 8:30pm and we were still waiting on the Main Course at 11:30pm - as a result, we had to leave in order to celebrate New Year in the square. Of the courses we ate, they were mostly "beige" and although they were OKish taste wise, they didn't look at all appetizing on a plate. I suspect that this place specializes in Pizzas and if you do visit, I would recommend that you still to these options. However, we must say that the service, welcome and staff were excellent.

We were here for dinner with friends and enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and simple dishes. I tried the local fried bread with caprese (mozzarella and tomato) and found it good.My friends also enjoyed their dinner, served with local wine and beer. Service was OK and prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend.Good eveningI'm very grateful for your reviewI'm sorry but I don't speak English very well but I care about to thank in writing and I hope to see you soon. Thanks a lot Cinzia

We stayed at Jouvenceaux at Chalet La Petitta and walked to Sugo's since we got the recommendation to go there. You have to make a reservation, a lot of guests. The pasta was really good, we vere 11 guests and we took 4 different dishes. Quatre fromages was the best!

Ristorante pizzeria a conduzione familiare, in tipica baita di montagna, al centro del borgo storico di Jouvenceaux , davanti alla bellissima chiesa di Sant Antoni
We really enjoyed our visit. Cosy, friendly atmosphere. We visited on a Sat night and the place was full of Italian families. We shared a starter, then had a pizza each. The pizzas were great & huge -we couldn't finish them ! The waitress spoke excellent English and offered to give us the leftovers home but since we were leaving the next day we didn't take them.

Cosy, traditional stone building with a fire, intimate surroundings, crisp linen tablecloths, friendly, attentive service, excellent wine and food. Access is by ringing the doorbell but donât let that put you off - we walked in without a reservation mid week and it was 2/3 full - perfect. Sea bass and duck both excellent, rounded off with zabaione for dessert.

The Restaurant Pizzeria "Lo Zodiaco" is found in the historical center of Oulx (TO) in the Valley of Susa to 80 kilometers from Turin. The pleasant and warm atmosphere of the Restaurant Pizzeria "Lo Zodiaco" hands the clients in an environment away from f
Unpretentious delicious pizzas, fresh bread, excellent escalope and----fantastic grilled vegetables- not a few slices of veg but whole courgette, half onion, tomato, potato, fennel etc properly grilled. Highly recommended! Italian on next table ordered brochetta and local small cheese starter- also looked fabulous. Only wished we had found it earlier so we could go for another meal there- sadly, we are out of time!! Lovely friendly service!!

Italy is best known for its local specialities, so on our first visit to this part of Italy, we were keen to try some. We could not have asked for a better guide than the hostess of this restaurant...no need to struggle with my basic grasp of Italian as she spoke perfect English, being Canadian in origin. The place was very atmospheric and hummed with activity, but the service was still excellent and attentive. The wine list was amazing, as you might expect since this is an "enoteca con cucina" but included some very reasonably priced wines, starting from c. 11 Euros. We pitched only a little higher than this and enjoyed the wine very much. The food was great too, very unusual and different to what we had had before but flavourful and well-balanced. I would go there again without hesitation if we are in the area again.
