This intimate Italian restaurant is a must see in Sarasota. A reservation is recommended as it is a charming little place with the true feeling of a small rustic Italian Inn. The waiter was great and provided perfect suggestions at our request. Each meal was exceptional and our guests were very pleased we shared this gem with them. They were surprised at its location in a small strip mall type of setting but once inside, the restaurant is charming and the food delicious.

My husband and I recently had dinner at The Greek Taverna when visiting Sarasota. From the minute we entered the door it was a fabulous visit; nice hostess, friendly and efficient service, fabulous food for a very reasonable price. My husband had the pasticcio and, having tried it in a number of different restaurants, decided this was the best we had ever had. I had chicken shiskebabs which were so flavorful and tender. And the bread was so delicious we ate 2 baskets of it which we never do! Everything is made right on the premises. If youâre in the area do give it a try!

Joy's Kouzine is one of our go to places for lunch while staying in Venice. Joy and her daughter do the serving and her husband does the cooking. Some of the best Greek food outside of driving to Tarpon Springs. I always order the Chicken Slovake Pita which comes with a ton of grilled chicken tenders, tomatoes, and their homemade tzatzki sauce served on a warm pita. It comes with french fries and colesslaw. My wife almost always orders the Bon Curry Crepe which comes with a salad. I give her most of my french fries and share her salad. I really like the coleslaw but it isn't a favorite of hers. I see other diners ordering the large Greek Salad or one of their lunch platters.You can't go wrong here!!

Last night was the third time I had the pleasure of dining in this gem of a restaurant. This is a truly authentic Italian restaurant offering Neapolitan, Sicilian and Milanese specialties. The restaurant is owned and run by the most wonderful and warm couple, Tina and her husband Mauro who is the Executive Chef. Being Italian, a foodie and a self-professed restaurant critic in my own right, trust me when I tell you how amazingly good La Dolce Vita is! There isn't a restaurant in the Sarasota/Bradenton area that compares! The personal service, fantastic wine list and the amazing food, offer the diner a unique and enjoyable dining experience. You won't find Spaghetti and Meatballs here so if that is what you are looking for, don't go here! This is a fine dining experience so if you appreciate excellent, fresh and innovative Italian specialties, then this is the place to go. Every one of my friends I have brought here (even true Italians!) have raved about this restaurant. You are treated like family and you will love every minute dining in this wonderful restaurant. Everything we have tried is excellent. Starting with the hot, fresh baked bread, the plentiful appetizers (the Octopus with Potatoes is my favorite) and the most delicious entrees such as fresh fish, veal, chicken and pasta dishes on the menu are all superb. Executive Chef Mauro is the genius in the kitchen and the presentation of all the dishes (oh..and the desserts!) is truly amazing. The entire staff is so warm and friendly and their hospitality only adds to this wonderful dining experience. Make sure you call and make reservations as this is a smaller establishment and becoming very popular. The word is out! Go! Buon appetito! This is a darling little restaurant that I happened upon during a spring training baseball weekend. Ordered the gyro meal as takeout which was so delicious, I went back the next night and got the same meal! Canât wait for my next trip to Sarasota so I can visit again. Do make a Rez if dining in as itâs a small and popular restaurant.

I am not a fan for buffets. But the buffet at Mattisons 41 on Easter Sunday was awesome. Not only was the atmosphere and servers top notch, but the food offerings were incredible. There were brunch items, carving stations, salmon and chicken dishes. There were all types of appetizers and shrimp. There were all types of roasted veggies and the dessert offerings were mind-boggling. Everything was so delicious that if I ever have to go to a buffet, it will be Mattisons. There were nine of us in our party and there were nothing but compliments on the meal and service.
