We were recommended this restaurant by the staff of the place where we were staying. Just a word of warning. The shutters under the sign will be shut with no indication where the way in is, which is through what looks like an art gallery further along the road. It would have been kind of the establishment to at least put an arrow on them! We were shown to a table outside of which there are plenty. We found both the male waiters rather cocky and reluctant to give us a menu and wine list so we pretty well had to go with what we could see in the way of fish - which looked very fresh and the white wine recommended, which slightly irritated us. The fish was cooked well but the accompanying grigliata de verdura (grilled vegetables) consisted of undercooked aubergine and charred, raw chicory. We had a local artisanal gelato (ice cream with chocolate and nuts) for dessert which was good. This restaurant is obviously popular and the staff super-confident but we are not sure it totally deserves its reputation.

On both occasions that we visited we were utterly starving after busy days sightseeing so we arrived as soon as the restaurant opened and on one occasion five minutes before. This was no problem and service was very prompt. We were brought complimentary anti pasti consisting of mini pucce and pizzas. The dough was utterly delicious. On the first occasion we both had pizzas which were Puglian, rather than Neapolitan and were so good! The local cheese and fresh ingredients were cooked perfectly. On the second occasion we had a puccia each and mine had local beef it. Fantastic. There is quite a bit of choice for vegetarians too.I definitely recommend and it is easy on the wallet.

The atmosphere was a little noisy but busy, and the restaurant was clean. The food was very good and filling, especially the pasta. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

We arrived today, with no booking to be received by extremely welcoming and indeed entertaining staff, who had a passion for both their food and their guests..despite the fact they were catering for a full house wedding party. We have been in Puglia for a week and have been generally uninspired by our food experience until now..a combination of local starters from both land and sea..selected by the waiter...followed by one of the best risottos we have ever tasted...and mouth watering mains and desert...simple, beautifully prepared and presented - this is what Italian food is about...forget the coast, with overpriced restaurants..get inland to Amelie...and be gastronomically entertained for a bargain price...thank you for the experience.

If you want to taste typical dishes from Salento this restaurant in Giuggianello is a great place. The starters are varied and rich. It also offers great grilled fish. We dined outside in a pleasant verandah on a quiet street.

Little Romantic Seafood Restaurant in the Storic Centre
We found ourselves in this place during a visit to the town of Maglie, along the small inner streets to the doorstep of this property.Relatively small, the "Ristorantino" (so at least it is defined in the entrance panel) offers an interesting and varied menu as well as the presentation of the dishes served. The interior is really cozy: white walls and modern furnishings. Very courteous service and attention to small consumers (we also had two children with us).We chose from the tips received from the great starters, followed by pasta or first-course fish dishes, very fresh. A great bottle of wine accompanied our meal.As always in Apulia, attention should be paid to the appetizers: they are too abundant. But in our case the content was worth the price paid.As an indication we paid: for a great portion of starters 25 Euro, a plate of pasta 8 Euro, a second pot 13 Euro, a bottle of good local white wine 20 Euro.A real discovery, which we will try to explore deeply during a future next opportunity.

... (and we only ever had good ones, but that was exceptional). The place is spotless, an excelently renovated old house. The food simply superb, and served with gusto and good hospitality. Alessandro and Tiziano have done an excellent job of putting this business together, and went out of their way to ensure that we have a good experience. And they *really* know how to cook meat properly to order.Thank you for a delicious and most memorable dinner!

Dinner and lunch are by reservation only Masseria Lacco is 900 meters from State Road Maglie-Otranto. Getting there: From the SS16 (Maglie-Otranto) take the exit for Palmariggi West where appropriate signs will lead you in Masseria. Menù fisso
My sisters and I had a wonderful time at Masseria Lacco. We arrived late in the afternoon, very hungry, after a stormy ferry ride from Dubrovnik. We were told that restaurants and markets were closed from 1-5, but our hostess made us a wonderful lunch consisting of their home grown tomatoes in (the best) olive oil, freshly made bread, and homemade ricotta. We all thought we had died and gone to heaven. We had dinner both nights of our stay. Unbelievable! The owner's son is a wonderful chef and they use the vegetables they grow and their own homemade products. One of the best meals I have ever had. Our room was lovely and it was nice taking a walk around the facilities (through groves of olive trees, etc.). The location is great. You can visits many wonderful small Italian villages along the Adriatic. The owners are super nice and will help you with suggestions of things to see and directions and maps. Highly recommend!

Nestled in an ancient palace dated back to the 18th century in the hearth of Galatina, in the province of Lecce, our restaurant Anima & Cuore is a really nice and confortable restaurant, with its starry vaults and mosaic floor which remind of the local hi
This restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel and the setting on the rooftop was beautiful. We did not have a reservation but we eat early (7:30 )and we were seated right away. The food was OK but not our favorite and the wine was nice but pricey. Lots of staff around but we had to pour our own wine which was weird. Buone cose Alessandro De Pascalis
