After phoning a few restaurants on the way south from Emilia Romagna we found this restaurant open on a Monday. The location is very good, just being 10 minutes from the A14 exit Civitanova Marche. There is ample shaded parking. As we entered we noticed long tables were lined up on one side of the huge dining room which had a central partition. There was only one other guest besides ourselves, but the dishes we ordered were fresh, tasty and well presented. An amuse bouche was served to begin with, then our order arrived -- a vegetarian croquette, soup, fillet of ricciola (fish) and tagliatelle alla Maceratese. The fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was very professional, and the waiter/sommelier opened a bottle of wine just to serve us two glasses. He also kindly photocopied two pages of a document which we needed. The restaurant has a ramp at the entrance for wheelchairs but the bathrooms are downstairs (not sure if they have a lift). Surely this restaurant would be much busier in the summer.

The "glass of bracket" was a courtesy that it reserved to the patrons of the inns, in other times; last drink that was offered by the host when you had one foot in the stirrup, about to leave the cozy warmth of the room to resume their journey. In this sp
Busy spot for lunch for local business men - both in suits and in overalls. Amazing home made buffet selection, to which you can add a primo, or secondo. Also pizza at lunch which is rare. Prices are just unbelieveable and include water, wine, and cafe. Amazingly fast service. Genuine home cooking and service. Returned several times

Glad we booked even for a Tuesday night in Winter. Very popular. Good service, open kitchen/grill. Nice ambiance. Good wine list. Was surprised the tagliata was just average at best. The lamb was very over cooked. The pasta dish with orange zest was excellent.

Family-owned farm specializing in the production of cold meats and pig meat according to ancient peasant traditions. Traditional homemade cuisine! Open daily on reservation.

"Ponti Oscuri - la Hostaria" is a small restaurant situated in the ancient town of Sant'Elpidio a Mare (Marche Region), in a typical alley of the medieval village. The new management proposes the dishes that have made it famous in the past: a typical loca
We were between Porto San Giorgio and Porto Sant'Elpidio for outlet shopping, and decided to Sant'Elpidio a Mare for a stroll and possibly early dinner. The only place which drew our eye was Ponti Oscuri as they had a menu board outside as well as a couple of tables. We entered and found the dining room in pastel colours was very inviting and the reception welcoming. After being seated in the corner, we looked at the menu again, and were delighted to see salad choices, which was just what we wanted. We ordered the grilled chicken salad, olive ascolane, fritto misto, half litre of Passerina from Montelparo and mineral water. The food was very good and the ambience was relaxing. The bill for 2 came to 29.50 Euro. As we forgot some sunglasses there, we returned for lunch the next day, having some fresh pasta dishes and a delicious dessert, finishing with coffee. The bill was 34 Euro. Highly recommend this good value osteria, with professional staff and spotless environment.

Summer luch or dinner will be served on the terrace overlooking the Macerata hills. Indoor nice too.Emanuela, the owner and her staff will serve you as if you were at home. The menù changes often and is entirely made from local products. The antipasti are great. The pastas are served to perfections and the meats/fish are very good. The deserts are nice. The local wine is ok but various labels available. Really nice!

The only inconvenient thing about this otherwise fine restaurant is the narrow unpaved connector road to the property, which can be quite tricky should oncoming traffic come your way.The food is excellent - especially the dishes with sirloin strips and the semiffredo desserts. Ask for the nice Cuban waiter
