Such a shame I have to review negative, it's my first ever negative review! I went for dinner there last night. My friend ordered in French and specifically requested that our meal should be vegetarian, the waiter answered that the dish will be vegan! When it came and we ate half way through it was not Vegan, there was Lamb in it. Which is fine as mistakes can happen, but once we addressed the issue to the waiter he said 'oh I am sorry it was a misunderstanding' and that was it. He didn't offer to change the dish or compensate for anything. My stomach is still massively upset, and so am I. Once the bill came they also charged us for one liter bottles of water not 500ml which we were served! So carefully check your receipt if you go to this restaurant. I am very very unhappy and will not be going to this place ever again!

We were looking for Lebanese food and our hotel recommend this little place. What a great find, a little gem. Friendly service and advice on what to order. Food was excellent, lovely and fresh and plenty of it. The wine was good and reasonably priced as was the food. Definitely worth a visit and I will definitely go back when I am next in the area.

Sometimes it is difficult to have friends and for everyone to eat couscous. Their wooden grill not only gives you the possibility to have grilled lamb or chicken to accompany your couscous but for example also a fantastic beef "pavé", we tried the Roquefort sauce ( miamy). Mons presently the cultural capital of Europe and a must see while in Belgium, a good opportunity to combine the visit and lunch..the couscous is excellent (apparently they use 3 different types of semolina), the braised lamb shank (you can ask to grill it slightly, but don't tell them I it recommend you...) or merguez -chicken. Please book in advance!

This is a small restaurant that offers mainly pasta and salads. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a delicious starter with the salmon and enjoyed the main courses. Pastas are nice. A good restaurant, nothing special. Definitely recommend it for a nice diner with friends or a quick lunch!

Warm welcome in a singular setting just 50m from the main square of Mons. We speak French, English, Spanish and Dutch. Original salads, homemade desserts, some organic products. Come and enjoy !
Mons has many squares & great restaurants to offer so during this visit we opted for a quieter corner of Mons.It offers a variety of salads and focaccias but do not be dissuaded because you think it is light! The meals are VERY copious! I could not even finish my focaccia which came with a side of salad. My husband opted for the tartiflette salad which he courageously finished. Needless to say we did not bother to look at the desserts as we were both stuffed.Service was good and fairly quick considering that the main seating area was already full by the time we arrived. We were seated behind the building at the covered terrasse.A nice discovery.

Bizarre experience for a Michelin star. Undermines the credibility and reliability of the Michelin guide. Choice of five starters; I had boiled fish in a sauce, my son some good tomatoes with two chunks of mozzarella. The former inadequate, the latter at least as good at home.Main course a choice between steak and, et, steak. Really. Pan fried with croquettes and a few boiled yellow carrots and jus. Good brasserie food but certainly no more.Interesting wine list, but no bargains.Wine 9 euros a glass from a bottle that costs less than 12. Work out the profit margin on that. Two people, first and mains, two glasses of wine each. 178 euros.Oh, and the decor is decidedly bistro.I feel sorry for the chefs that have a merited star, and have had to work so hard for.

We went for a late lunch at Maximeâs, the food was great and the service excellent. We have a young baby and itâs not always easy to find somewhere that can accommodate and doesnât mind. The waiter was fantastic, super friendly, polite & great menu knowledge. We ordered the mezze & a mixed grill; so much food, we couldnât finish it. It was lovely and we particularly enjoyed the assortment in the mezze. Excellent afternoon, thank you.

The atmosphere is a little casual for a "romantic" evening, but the experience is wonderful. Staff extremely friendly, reasonable prices, great food, pretty easy access. Highly recommend.
