My 2 girlfriends and I ate 2x here. We loved the food and atmosphere and Roula , the owner is friendly and very accommodating. The prices are fair and the food is more interesting than the other restaurants around. I definitely recommend this place.

Having spent most of my Molyvos vacation elsewhere than the harbour, decided to eat at this Tjäreborg recommended restaurant. Everything I (eventually) got in front of me, was tasty and delicious. But - I wasn't attended to, looked after by the staff. I arrived a bit early, got my fresh juice in front of me quickly - with a smile and a friendly word. From then on, as the restaurant was filling with groups of people, I was left alone. The food I ate (papoutsakia) was simply divine! But no-one came to ask if I had enjoyed my dinner, if I wanted another drink - I had to ask for the waiter to come to me. Sometimes it took some time, as they were busy servicing the other tables. Not good customer service at all.I had a word about this with a member of staff - possibly a shift manager. He first said they had not approached me bec I was reading my book at the table - "you were busy all the time." What?!?! Don't they want to sell their food or drinks? He later denied everything - "I'm sorry but what you are saying is wrong, my waiters never did that. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this place.Needless to say, I do not recommend this restaurant to any single passenger.

When you are in Molivos you should try this place. It's on the harbour.A chic stone building, staff is very friendly and helpful.Prices are a little expensive compare the rest of the island in general. We ate barbouni, sardines, greek salad and several mezedes, everything was delicious.

At the end of the harbour, just before the Captains Table. Small & friendly, brilliant service & food. We visited 3 times. We tried the marinated tuna which was absolutely delicious, a great alternative to marinated anchovies & something we never would have ordered without the suggestion; a WOW dish. Fresh seabass was grilled to perfection & served with a lovely salad & oregano sprinkled chips. Grilled octopus with soft & crispy bits & a beautiful flavour. We tried some great Greek wines from the wine list too. The hospitality here was wonderful, we received a gift of marinated tuna to take home; it survived the journey! Don't miss this place, we'll be back.

A popular water front restaurant in the harbour of Molyvos on Lesvos. Serving mezedes (tappas) With a variety of different Mediterranean dishes, vegetarian and meat and fresh fish.
The Captains Table is one of our favourite restaurants to eat when in Molyvos. Lovely setting on the harbour with a view of the village and castle. On our visit to the Captains Table last year we were slightly disappointed with the meal we received. Not the usual standard we had become to expect at the Captains Table!! We decided to give the Captains Table another chance on our return to the island this year. Wow what a difference we were certainly not disappointed this time round (not sure if itâs new owners). Lovely well prepared and tasty food served by lovely knowledgable staff. Meze style dining and we choose six dishes (main portions also offered) from the menu. The nice member of staff that served us recommended the baby squid as an alternative to the calamari that we had chosen. The baby squid was delicious and a good recommendation. Thank you. We also the had fava dip, grilled octopus, spinach and cheese croquettes, ladatori saganaki and little meat pies - all delicious. Nothing disappointed and finished off with delicious peanut brittle. When we are back on Lesvos we will be certainly visiting the Captains Table again. Thank you so much for your review and i am so glad you tried our restaurant again after your experience last year ( we are the same owners and cooks for the last 25 years )

Friends is a place known around the world for their traditional greek food of high quality, homemade, very good prices and friendly service.
Lots of options on the menu and food all fresh and made to order. Really enjoyed the gyros here. Very busy at lunchtime however, we waited a long time to receive our food as there were so many customers and takeaway orders.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who is a regular visitor to Lesvos, and also I noted it's on the Happy Cow App as being suitable for vegans too. I was really keen to visit and certainly was not disappointed. Having read reviews on this page too, I decided it was prudent to book ahead which we did and secured a booking for early evening. The location was perfect with a light breeze under the trees. I was glad of a glass of water having walked up the steep path (albeit a short walk) and was very happy to spend the next hour or so being looked after by the Tropicana team who were superb. I ordered the Gigantes beans and they were absolutely amazing. I heard the lamb chops were superb too. We had watermelon/ice cream (complementary) afterwards, plus a small glass of some sort of liquor - again, a lovely touch and not something we had anywhere else on our trip. There were a few cats around the dining area who were keen for any tidbits but they weren't a problem at all. The woman serving us (Taxia) was superb and a real asset to the place. I am so glad I visited and if I ever visit Lesvos again I will definitely eat at Tropicana again. Thank you so much for such a memorable meal.....now to try to recreate the Gigantes at home :)

Restaurant Temporary closed for season 2019.Re opening 2020.Thank you
We visited this restaurant on our final night in Molyvos as Iâd read the great reviews. Perhaps I was expecting too much. It was friendly and had lovely views but more expensive than other restaurants serving very similar food. I had the Gigantes - giant beans but not giant portion (yes I admit itâs a starter but at other places I got a bigger portion as a starter). Itâs clear that itâs a place where regulars go and there were lots of happy faces (almost like customers were family). Perhaps a few visits are needed to get this level of service that others seemed to have. No end of meal watermelon, or small drink which means I am rating lower than the nearby Tropicana which was absolutely superb! Meal was tasty enough but not outstanding.
