For all pentanes ' ' or bar and Don Pepp Galdieri "has always been a reference to an icon , an institution of the country, the heart of the village that looked wrecked the summit of oblivion. Nevertheless we assume the duty and responsibility to raise him
We have had an excellent surprise at the restaurant, coming fairly late (almost 11 pm) we were still served a very tasty meal with excellent service. Antipasti: ravioli with two different sauces, tomato/eggplant and funghi/nuts. Very very good. Meat: a homemade coarse minced sausage with delicious thinsliced potato chips. As desert : Bubba with strawberries. Definitely worthwhile driving for.

We stayed there on our way to the Amalfi coast and were treated to a great surprise!! Settle just outside the town, with a great view of the mountains and serene environment. You will sleep like a baby in comfortable and large room without the need to worry about a noisy road nearby. We were even greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine to our room. Easy parking and good breakfast. My only concern was the menu in the restaurant was a little limited. I highly recommend this resort as a destination or a an option close to the Amalfi coast. Only 20 min to Sorrento and another 45 to Amalfi.

The 'Torali RistoPub' was modelled on a British Pub where the owner worked and studied English. Also purveying British Beers and well known Lagers. The Staff are very friendly and most speak english, nothing is too much trouble. We came here with relatives, Gino, Enza, Bruno, Lucia and also Granddaughter Olivia, Mrs B and myself. We had home made Gnocchi (not the potato type) covered with melted Gorgonzola cheese, char grilled chicken with salad and spaghetti carbonara. Followed by Panna cotta (Italian for "cooked cream") and topped with wild berries and a traditional Ricotta Easter Pie.I would recommend this Restaurant if you are passing through, whether heading or returning from your holidays as it is not far from the beaten track. If you wanted to stay a night or two, I am sure they would be most obliging.A must goto venue.

While in search of another restaurant, we got frustrated and decided to stop at the next restaurant we saw. Lucky for us, we found Ristorante Villa Gloria! The food was so good, the people were so friendly, the fellow guests were having a good time in the catering room. Over all, one of the most memorable meals of our trip. The seafood was incredible.

13: Three profiles. One soul Taste, character, competence, Star, earth, history, courage, tomato. Few words weave the canvas of the soul of Casa del Nonno 13. One brand, three variations: the Michelin Starred Restaurant and the Osteria in Mercato San Seve
Casa del nonno is the very best restaurant in the napoli area. Less pretentious than Don Alfonso, Gennaro Esposito or 4 pass, as well as less advertised, this restaurant is a 10 under all the aspects. In the middle of the countryside between Napoli and Salerno, Casa del Nonno lays in the canteen of a 19th century old house. Make sure you try the tortelli Genovese and the stracotto and the ricotta e pere dessert!

I had a surprising dining experience in this nondescript village next to where I was born and a few km from Salerno. The food is totally worth the short trip (GPS recommended). The chef uses mostly local flavours (scarola, artichokes, fava beans, buffalo mozzarella) associated with a few international ingredients (the delicious beef was from Poland) to create refined dishes which explode with flavour. For those not living in Italy the prices are ridiculously cheap (we paid 70 euros for 3 courses and a nice wine and the digestive was offered... And it wasn't a limoncello but a barbaresco grappa ripened in barrel!). And after the pre-dessert, the dessert and the cookies we were almost unable to get up from the table! The place was deserted on the Saturday after Easter when locals are still digesting their festive meals but I suppose it fills up in the weekend.
