We dined in this restaurant after asking our hotel for recommendations in the Massa area, we wish we had of asked earlier as we would have visited many more times as it was delicious food and such a hidden gem. We each had a pasta dish for starters and I must say the pasta was divine some of the best I have ever eaten as it was freshly prepared and tasted perfect! The food was of a very high quality and fresh the desserts were amazing soooo yummy. The service we received was of top class, we just wish we could return sooner. The prices are slightly higher than other restaurants around Massa but for a dining experience and quality food I think it is well worth the price we paid. Highly recommend!

It was a beautiful sunny day and we were hungry.... The slightly toasted and salted bread kept us pleasantly sated until the first course, and that was well worth the wait. Fruitti di Mare: mussels, squid, shrimp, and lobster over a small bed of greens was the perfect tasty and light dish to start. Next up was linguine with clams. Nothing beats fresh pasta and tiny perfectly cooked clams with a crisp white wine to wash it all down. But that wasn't all, oh no you must save room for dessert. We had a plate with a wonderful chocolate mousse, a macaroon filled with dark chocolate, a bite of tiramisu, and a thin cookie to make sure you scooped up all the littlest bits left on the plate. What a great way to spend time with friends... good food, wine, and company.

This is a hidden gem in MdM, the cold cuts are quality pieces of meat, paired with delicious cheeses and vegetable, great lasagna and other dishes. The wine list is well presented and the prices for everything are VERY affordable. Some of the staff speak enough English to make ordering easy, and it's always a good idea to tell them in general terms what you're hungry for and then let them surprise you. I stop here at least once almost every time I am in town.

The town is deserted-The restaurant was not! We had an 8:00 reservation-did I really need one? I'm so glad I reserved! By 8:30, the restaurant was full-many locals enjoying a Friday night seafood dinner-and the food was truly delicious. We rarely get fresh oysters and my husband enjoyed them very much. The fritto misto was delicious as well-lightly battered and full of octopus, shrimp, and vegetables. We'd eat there again. The staff was friendly and efficient as well.

First the positive things: The bar is nice, not over decorated, good style, the young servant was friendly and really charming, she asked if she could help with the menue. We had tapas: salmon, cheese and fried chicken were good, the quality of the food was good. Now the less positive things: Beer prices are (as nearly everywhere in Italy) extraordinary (5⬠up fur 35cl!), also the prices for the tapas in relation to their quantity! Be careful: If you've ever been in a tapa bar in Spain you will be very disappointed. The variety of tapas there is much bigger (vegetables, potatoes, etc.) and the tapas are much, much bigger. The croquettas at BBQ were only one thrird of the size you get in Spain! The red wine in bottle by the way was about 5 degrees too warm! Typical for a bar there is an ongoing carpet of bar jazz music, soft and smooth, but they should avoid to play Prince's Purple Rain in a "cool bar music" version! Conclusion: You can go there, spend some money on what they think are tapas in Italy and appreciate the nice smile of the sweet servant!

We went with friends for pizza. The pizzas were good with a variety of tasty toppings but some of us couldn't eat it a whole pizza as it was too filling. We could not resist the desserts, they were wonderful!

Really cool, upmarket place in an unexpected area. The food is divine and the service great. As it was summer, we sat (along with everyone else there that night) under the pergolas set up to resemble a covered courtyard. Very pretty. The presentation of the dishes was also faultless. A work of art. The food itself, cooked to perfection. A little more expensive but worth it for the quality. The only reason I give it 4*s was the amount of food. The portions were quite small. Luckily I wasn't so hungry and so it was just right for me - this time. Will definitely go again and I now wish I had had the Agnello di Zeri. Next time, perhaps?

We found this restaurant from tripadvisor which had received the best rating of all restaurants in Marina di Massa. The place looked very conventional, it was located outside the tourist areas, and heavily favored by local Italian tourists/residents. On the contrary from most restaurants in the nearby area - which could only and/or were willing to provide service in italian - the chef was very helpful and could go through the menu in english. The food was fresh and prepared with very high standard. Prices were also moderately low when considering the pricy incredients and large portions. Overall the experience was exquisite, and we went there back2back nights even though our stay in Marina di Massa was short.Donât be put away of the looks of the place or the queues gathered at around 8pm, this place is an awesome place to eat fantastic and healthy seafood with a relatively low cost. Apparently they are opening another restaurant in Viareggio in the near future...
