Malaga is one of the oldest cities in the world, founded in the 8th century by the Phoenicians. Today, art is everywhere-- you can experience exhibits dedicated to glass and crystal, classic cars, contemporary installations, and, of course, the works of Picasso, who was born here. Wander past banana trees and beautiful fountains as you walk through Paseo del Parque, then hit the old city to quench your thirst at a Spanish tavern.

The fresh, homemade pasta was very delicious, and the service was wonderful. The place itself is a bit small, but it's worth it and there is a take away option.Best pasta we had in Spain. Highly recommend!Thank you Daria for your nice comment, we really appreciate! See you soon #Spagos

Having experienced some appalling service in Malaga, this was a great. The owner spoke several languages, was friendly and helpful. The food was lovely - we stuck to the tapas - and was very promptly served. Chocolate cake was excellent. Would definitely go there again.

Avocado toast with scrambled egg and smoked salmon was great for a quick and healthy lunch. Dining inside or on small terrace to front. Open from breakfast to late, they have something suitable to take you through the day. Emphasis on fresh and healthy food. Some great colours going on ! Gluton free, veggie and vegan options ! Efficient and friendly owner / staff.

La Zapata Bar offers a variety of exquisite dishes, tapas, poles accompanied by wonderful drinks, which we will share with the beautiful view of the cathedral
This place is small, so go early. Or try to book a table for tomorrow by passing by in person today. The concierge at our hotel said that is the only way to book. It is no surprise that the restaurant is popular: we had peppers with anchovies; seaweed and soft-shell crab (absolutely superb) and a hugely betruffled risotto. All dishes are to be shared between two and are wildly innovative and creative. Some are initially difficult to identify but, truly, this adds to the fun. Including wine, water, coffees and tip, the bill was about â¬90. Out of this world and highly recommended.

We went to this place after a recommendation from family (making a reservation is definately needed). These guys know how to make great food with matching wines/beers. We also learned that good olive oils can make a huge difference. Friendly staff. Cosy small place. Definately worth itâs ranking on Tripadvisor. We will be back!

Just go with what the patron suggests and enjoy a gourmet feast. Book to avoid disappointment. We had the smoked fish, veal tongue, Iberian pork, local cheese and chocolate âsalamiâ. All with appropriate wines suggested by our host. And Iâve paid a lot more for inferior food so this was superb value for money

What an excellent restaurant! The owner, Santo was extremely helpful and accommodating. His suggestions for the appetizers and main plates was right on. His selection of wine was very appropriate for the meal we had. His servers were very professional and attentive. But it was the food that took the prize! Thanks for your review.Best regards,Santo Romeo

Small restaurant in the heart of Malaga, next to the Plaza de la Merced, the Cervantes Theater, and the Birthplace of Picasso. Our cuisine is eclectic: the influence of Asian and South American cuisine, with a marked local spirit. And we love wine!

This cafe was on the square right outside our hotel so was a no-brainer for coffee and breakfast. The 'full English' was a bargain, with toast and freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs to order with bacon - the toast wasn't really toasted (longer under the grill!!) but the eggs were good, and the bacon was swapped for tomato by my vegetarian friend with no problem. Coffee was good, and the tea was proper loose leaf with a tea strainer - lovely, and not what I had been expecting!! A nice spot.Hi AnitaT947,Thank you so much for the review and for taking the time to comment. We are glad to read thay you enjoyed your breakfast and coffee.Best wishes,Café Central
