Restaurante en primera linea de playa, a 5 metros del mar, con vistas a la bahia de La Herradura donde podra degustar nuestros platos de pescado de la zona y ensaladas de temporada...
Myself and my husband visited this restaurant today and to say that it was disappointing is an understatement. I had pollo aljillo and it was gristle and bones with a few chips. My advice is to stay away

The restaurant "El Chaleco" Bib Gourmand Michelin specialising in French cuisine are located in Almunecar. We will be pleased to invite you to a quiet and accessible atmosphere. Lydie, Renaud and their team will be happy to give you an idea of the little
Rude irritable owner. Took half an hour to get a drink. She needs another waiter/waitress and to moan less. Very small portions. Old fashioned cordon blue type food, small wine list, no vegetables and incredibly expensive. We were 7 and the bill was £363 ,sterling! It was so disappointing as it was a birthday celebration. None of us will be going back. Most reviews are one star. Donât know how the main page shows most reviews as excellent. There are much better places in Almuñécar, and more appropriate Spanish prices! Awful.Restaurante El Chaleco Bib Gourmand michelin 2019Dear lady;We remember you and your charming guests very well. You say that they were small portions because it is something natural since they took the tasting menu of 3 appetizers, 2 appetizers, main course and a selection of our desserts and all for 38.95 which is the price of this longer menu.Respect that I was unpleasant, just see all the comments about us to see that the problem was yours, you were very unfriendly, treating with disrespect my waitress as well as me, it is more one of your guests asked me to forgive for his behavior, which he sincerely appreciated because we are here to serve him, but we must not blame him under any circumstance.Your glass of wine that took a while is very simple to explain, all your guests took the kir royal aperitif and you did not want to, I asked for the wine and you are late in choosing and if I'm not mistaken, you asked for a Marques de Riscal Sauvignon as it appears to the letter and not content yet complained because I wanted the Riscal Verdejo which is not the letter but if there are 2 verdejos! Not counting the story that we set to ask for dessert, I did not know if I wanted the chocolate cake or not, that's not our thing that you would wake up that day in a bad mood, my team and I tried to make the most of it.TO THE LORD OF THE BIRTHDAY WE GAVE CANDLES AND BENGAL AND SONO HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUT THAT YOU DO NOT ACCOUNT.And not least, we have been open for 22 years, 20 in the MIchelin guide and 18 as Bib Gourmand Michelin every year and there are professionals of the gastronomy who judge us.So I come to the conclusion that there are people impossible to satisfy. However, I thank all your companions for their impeccable treatment and the goodbye quality they gave me since they left very happy.very truly yoursVestAudreyAnd it's true that even French food is not to your liking but as you could see

Attitude of the lady who is either the owner or maitre de is terrible we tried on three occasions to get in and every time told they were either full or about to close both of which untrue. Seems to me like they only want locals to dine and not â foreignersâ so dreadful experience!

Great new Taberna Ayer, always serving fresh cooked produce,See our fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor or find us on Facebook. Now with a full menu including many old favorites and some great new sharing plates and our evening grill menu, still serving grea
We last visited this restaurant when they were still in their old premises, and were pleased to see that they have been able to expand their menu after moving. Service was still extremely efficient and pleasant, and we were brought very tasty tapas whilst waiting for our food to be served. Two of us had burgers (very good, and huuuuge, with great chunky chips) and the other two had paninis served with lovely fresh salad and patatas bravas, making it a substantial meal. My only disappointment was that they were out of lemon drizzle cake on this occasion (I remembered how good it was from our last visit) so I had to settle for Bailey's cheesecake instead. Hard life but somebody's got to do it! Congratulations to the owners and their family for being able to maintain their high standards for so long, may they continue to prosper.Thank you for your very kind review. As a business thats been serving people in Almunecar for over 18 years its great to hear that our customers are still enjoying what we are serving. Sorry about the Lemon drizzle, we cant keep up with the demand even after all this time.Hopefully next time you will get a slice....Thanks again.

Whilst I use this restaurant on a regular basis, Burns night, Louise and her crew have excelled themselves. With a starter of cullen skink, the haggis was then addressed before serving. Followed by a light cream whisky cranachan, we finished off with a Scottish cheeseboard. Thoroughly entertaining evening, the theme nights a must... not lest we forget all other times visit

We have a villa in LH and Dis Tinto was a regular âwatering holeâ for us - however, their management let the standards slip and I submitted a suitably critical review. We called in today and boy, what a change for the better - the restaurant has been cleaned up immeasurably, service was excellent (particularly from the fabulously friendly and professional Jose-Louis) and food fabulous. We had the Basque Txchuleta (steak) which is self-cooked on a hot plate brought to the table - Dis Tinto have, thankfully, replaced the wholly inadequate pottery hot plates with a cast-iron equivalent, which are much better and retain the heat much longer. We will re-add Dis Tinto to our LH restaurant bucket list, as the restaurant is once again superb Thanks for your opinion

Seaside restaurant, just 25m away from the Mediterranean sea. A good taste of what Costa Tropical can offer.
This is not your often run down and slightly battered establishment but although quite small an immaculately presented, very smart venue on the beach right by the sea. The view, we went for lunch, was magnificent.Food was really good we shared a tomato and anchovies starter and a cheddar cheese burger. Both were delicious and beautifully presented, if there was a slight criticism it would be that the fries were a little soggy but other than that the food both quality and quantity was great.Would be unfair not to mention the service which was also excellent and friendly. Definitely worth a visit, I am sure we will go again.

I don't care what the TA ratings say: this is the best restaurant in La Herradura. Once again it was a delightful experience. I can add little to my previous reviews other than to say that exceptionally high standards have been maintained. Service is immaculate, the food delightful and atmosphere wonderful. Needless to say, we will return very soon.Muy agradecidos por su valoracion,Intentaremos seguir trabajando en este nivel y seguà subiendo .Esperamos su vuelta

Always keen to try the no 1 on TA in a new area. Sometimes this disappoints and sometimes itâs a clearly earned. In this case it was very much the latter. Booked a table through the TA app and on arrival were seated on our reserved table in the outside seating area, candle lit ready to go.For starters we shared a melon and duck salad which was ideal, the melon and duck a perfect combination and more than enough for two of us.The menu is extensive but we went for the sea bass special. This was possibly the most succulent tasty piece of fish I have ever eaten. Served with potatoes and side veg. Absolutely delicious! For dessert we had a home made mousse and lemon pie. Again these were very good with generous portions. We had water and wine to accompany out meal and the bill was a very reasonable 81 euro. The service throughout was quick and efficient and the ambiance of the restaurant made it a delightful place to be.Thoroughly recommended.

We arrived early..around 1pm so we're the only ones there for a while. Service was friendly with some good English. Very relaxing overlooking the beach...a quieter cove at the western end. All the food was good. We shared stuffed mushrooms, then a gourmet burger and tropical salad. The salad was especially good. By 2.30 the piece was nearly full. Across the road away from the beach is the bar and inside restaurant which offers some cheaper dishes. Recommended for a special lunch
