La Ceiba was officially founded on 23 August 1877. The city was named after a giant ceiba tree which grew near the old dock. The dock itself finally fell into the sea in late 2007. The city has been officially proclaimed the "Eco-Tourism Capital of Honduras" as well as the "Entertainment Capital of Honduras". Every year, on the third or fourth Saturday of May, the city holds its famous carnival to commemorate Isidore the Laborer (Spanish San Isidro Labrador). As I was looking for a restaurant that was suggested to me, I parked in front of this place, it did look different but looked new and nice, so went in with the family. We liked their decoration, music w soft, waiter was very nice all the time and answered all questions. They have a variety of sandwiches, my family had the Argentinian, it was good, it came with fries. I had the pasta, very good also. They have free wi fi, bathroom was very clean. This seem to be a good place to have good coffee with good desserts, wines in the evening. Again all sandwiches look good.Nice location close by the DâAntoni Hospital.
Our family went and no one like what was served to us, bad taste, no flavor. The service was not very good either, we had to find a waiter to get another drink.
They are not in bussiness anymore, I knew the owner, he was a good person however things happened and the place is closed.
