It is located on a terrace with a nice view on a small bay in the center of Komiža. It's really FAMILY managed, with a quite old couple preparing a very traditional food. We tasted a great "conger brodetto with polenta", delicious... Prices are right maybe lower than the average in Komiža.

The newly opened Konoba Jidro was founded with the goal of providing our customers with classic Croatian Cuisine in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We emphasize local products as much as possible not only in our menu selections, but in our wine too. Our chef
Had a lovely evening dinner here with friends and all enjoyed a yummy steak (with green pepper sauce for me, and truffle sauce for my friends). Steak was perfectly cooked, lots of sauce and good portions on all dishes. Service was a bit slow, but friendly - the wine on the other hand!! None of us were a fan - very tannic red wine

Our AirBnB host recommended this restaurant when we hired scooters for the day to explore the island and it was delightful. They serve a small selection of dishes - whatever is fresh and seasonal - always a good sign - and the service was excellent.

Tavern Jastozera is located south of a fortress that was built at the end of the 15th century connecting two cliffs and creating a natural open air sea pool for breeding lobsters. It was established in 1883. and since has been owned by the family Marinkov
I feel mixed about this restaurant. It's in a great location overlooking the sea, and we arrived under the arches by dinghy, which was a fun experience. The staff were lovely and my son had an exceptional steak. Our kids said it was the favourite restaurant of the whole holiday. On the minus side, the tuna was very fresh but not executed with much finesse of flavouring- either the carpaccio or the tuna steaks. The tuna steaks were served cooked through and had to be returned, but the staff were very gracious about replacing them. It's also famous for its lobsters, but these are very expensive and the whole meal turned out to be the most expensive of our holiday. Overall, I think I'd recommend this venue for a light lunch.

The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect! We got bread after we ordered, and didnât wait too long before the food arrived. After the meal, consisting of excellently grilled meats and a tasty pizza, we even got a shot of grappa each! Will recommend this fantastic experience to anyone visiting Komiža! 10/10

Great place for domestic dishes prepared with love. Away from seaside, a bit up the hill, easily reaching much better value for money. Ask for daily offer / specials, be aware that (much like all the places here) the offer does depend on whatâs available, whatâs been cought at sea etc. Great wine, nice green setting, friendly service... all in all, strongly recommended!

We made a reservation last night for a table near the sea because we were stunned by the view and the location. On the other side we werent happy with the food. First of all my boyfriend explicitely said he wanted raw beefsteak with blood dripping out of it and what he got was well done meat. We both didnt like that theyve put the mustard on beefstakes and we hate mustard so the taste of it was horrible. Beefstake costs 150 kn without side meal, so with portion of frozen fries it comes out on 180kn.

Relax and enjoy our beautiful sea-view ambience along the gastronomic delights that our Croatian chefs prepare by the traditional recipes. The offer includes fresh fish, seafood, lobsters, meat dishes, as well as a full breakfast. We know that the top dis
at first I sat down because it was the best looking restaurant and I was just in need of a glass of wine and reliable wifi, and after an excellent recommendation on the rosé from my server, I texted my family to come down for dinner. We sat here for three hours over two bottles of delicious and refreshing rosé and ordered the best charcuterie starter Iâve ever had. The fig jam and tuna tartare on the board were both amazing additions I hadnât seen anywhere else. For dinner I had a tuna steak with truffle sauce and I was blown away. If i couldâve put the truffle sauce in a glass to drink straight, I wouldâve. Our server Stepan was so friendly, accommodating, and even offered us shots on the house. The dinner menu isnât as affordable as other places, however the quality of service and food and the beautiful interior is well worth the money spent. Also one of the only restaurants weâve been to that accepts visa, not just cash!!! That was very important to us. All in all, 11/10 restaurant. Best experience in Komiza that weâve had, and Iâd recommend people visit this port of the island JUST to experience that truffle sauce. Thank you to Stepan and the kitchen staff at Hum for a great night.Reading your review just made us sooo proud! ;-) We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, especially that you enjoyed our chef's truffle sauce so much! ;-) Thank you in the name of the whole HUM staff! Sure hope to see you again next summer!

If you turn left going through Ribarska street from Riva to the hotel, you can come to the terrace of Konoba "Barba". Surrounded with traditional island architecture, you can see the whole Komiza bay from there. Enjoy the beauty and charm of this place th
The restaurant has an amazing view of Komiza and is ideal for romantic dinners. We had anchovies for starters and an octopus salad. Both were amazing and came with local capers and olives and motar leaves. For the main dish we had first class white fish with swisschard and grilled vegetables, all of which was very well prepared. Our only complaint was they didn't have cognac to conclude the meal. And the service was great and very professional.
