The entire experience with Rèmy and Cathy was fantastic. They engaged us throughout the evening, along with the very friendly wait staff. We had the baked Camembert with roasted apples and walnuts, served in filo pastry, followed by duck confit with cranberry sauce. The rest of their menu caters for all tastes, with their specialty being Cote de bouef. The wine selection compliments the menu, and is fairly priced.

Good selection of local wines. Efficient, friendly service. 4 of us all had different dishes. Hot, large servings, enough leftovers for our lunch the following day. For such a busy spot, we found it commendable that the Owner recognized us from dropping in the evening before to make our reservation & remembered the kind of wine we were asking about. Busy, recommend making a booking

Not exactly a restaurant... Not exactly a bar... Definitely not a deli... Well, not exactly a deli... It's an eating place, a drinking place and definitely a meeting place. And it's a gift shop, a clothing emporium, a food store, a fish monger and a baker
Hi My wife and I regularly go to 34. This last time was very disappointing. in the past the food was always good value. We went for breakfast and ordered our usual. The Special was R60 including Coffee. My wife however ordered the Oopsie Breakfast which was R69 (Inc Coffee) but now R80. When we ordered we asked if the Oopsie still came with Coffee, and yes was the reply. When we received the bill the Oopsie was R80 + R26 for Coffee = so yes!!! R106. Okay so big price difference. When we queried the price, the waitress said that she would remove the coffee from the bill, but that it would now come out of her pay. This made us feel very guilty. We asked why the restaurant wouldn't cover the cost.I was quite disgusted that a well known, restaurant on Knysna Quay of all places, feels its okay to take wages from an already low paid waitress, when they are dealing with a billing dispute. We have traveled to many places and never have I seen a restaurant feel its okay to take advantage of staff who already dont earn very much. Also that Customers are made to feel guilty when they dispute the bill.Kind of penny wise but pound foolish. I just wonder how many people would eat at their restaurant, knowing how they do business.

This restaurant is definitely one of my favourites in Sedgefield. Freshly made pasta and el dente veggies are available with all the main dishes. The Chicken schnitzel served succulent and golden brown is a must try. My friends had chilli prawns, and a sole that (in their words) was DELICIOUS. In fact, everything on their menu is delicious. Steve and Lea, the owners are always in the kitchen slaving in front of the pizza oven to make sure that every dish requested is perfect. The restaurant has moved to smaller premises on the Island, so booking is essential and 'Not licensed' allows you to bring your own selection of wine for the meal. Once again, the evening at this wonderful, cozy restaurant didn't disappoint.

At Ocean Basket Garden Route Mall you'll find friendly people, a home-from-home feeling and great value for your hard-earned bucks.
Visiting south Africa for the first time, this was our first "Ocean Basket" experience, and it was definitely not the last. The fish was amazingly fresh, well served and a very good price. I also tried the sushi which was amazing. The location of this restaurant was great on Knysna waterfront. Need this chain to reach the UK
