This is the perfect example of the type of small business you should be supporting within your community. If i had to guess its a two generation family owned business and they are very nice people. Not only are they nice but their food is exceptionally good as well. you can tell that they really care about and enjoy what they do. I really hope that this place sticks around because you dont find places like this everyday. I highly recommend stopping in and getting a bite to eat, trust me youll feel the same way after you do. David, we're absolutely flattered and you're absolutely right we're a two generation family owned place, and we really love what we do, we definitely put our hearts into it because the customers are the heartbeat of this place! thanks again David!

Went to place an order for carry out. Girl on phone talking away private conversation. She finally takes the order. 4 men in the cooking area laughing, yelling, having lots of fun. I waited over 20 mins for my sandwich. Other people coming into restaurant placing orders in native language and getting their carry outs very quickly. Took sandwich home. It was very dry and not tasty.

I noticed the opening of a Mediterranean restaurant in a building that has housed many different restaurants over the years along busy Telegraph Road. This one will hopefully stay around because their food is very good. This judgement is limited to chicken shawarma and shish kafta (lamb) sandwiches and in all cases they were good sized servings, fresh, and delicious. We need to return and try some of their dinner offerings, in conversation with Mike the owner he sure made them sound delicious. As with any review, if you find this helpful then click the icon.
It was a busy lunchtime inside this small carryout of Mediterranean food at the corner of two busy streets, Telegraph and Michigan Ave. The two cooks in the kitchen were working as fast as they could but still the wait for a walk-in was a little too long. I suggest calling in first because those customers were picking up their orders without the wait. We had mango smoothies while waiting and those were good, prepared by the friendly cashier Kristin. The hummus was as good as any in town. I had a lamb Shawarma that was good, the sauce was a little different to my taste but still good. We ordered a Gallaba side and were disappointed, the vegetables were overcooked and hence mushy, we are used to crisp tasty vegetables.

This was our first time visiting this establishment. The atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel welcomed right from the start. The food was absolutely the best Mediterranean food weâve ever had and we visit other restaurants in the area. This is it. If you want authentic reasonably priced food come no where else.

Excellent food and great customer service. I had the house Maza platter which included stuffed grape leaves, hummus, falafel, and baba ghanouj. It was all excellent. The pita bread served is more like a flatbread and I prefer a thicker pita, but the rest of the food, and the service, was so good that I will definitely return!

Stopped in for a takeout snack. Ordered the appetizer platter dish. Excellent! Everything was fresh and delicious. We don't eat middle eastern food often but this place is going to make us want to more often. See photos for what we ordered. Portions were large. Prices were very good. Appears to be dad and daughter that we're working the day we went there. Good family run place. We will come again.

We visited La Pita again this year for dinner on a Wednesday night. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. Our server walked by a few times but it took another server saying something to him before he came to our table. We had humus and pita (their fresh pita is amazing!) and my mom had falafel while I had a shwarma roll. We shared fatoosh as well. Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
